This is my go-to club for getting on in Regulation
Friday February 13, 2009
I love this club when I'm 185-205 yards out and need to get on in Regulation. The square geometry helps keep the club face from twisting on impact when I'm in the rough, and makes all my shots fly very straight and long. I have a 20 degree #3 Hybrid and the trajectory seems to be perfect for long strikes since I generally am able to stay on rather than skip over the green. I also have the Sumo SQ 3 Wood, but I prefer this club from the fairway to the green because it is shorter, flies more like a traditional iron, and gives me a lot of confidence when striking the ball - especially since I really like to hit down on the ball when I hit from the grass. I wasn't sure about this club when I bought it online, but I'm a convert and have ordered the 5 Hybrid to help me get out of tight spots and save me some strokes in the 165-185 yard range.
