 Scotty Cameron 1st Run of 500 Studio Design Putter Every Scotty Cameron putter is a model of refinement, the Studio Design Putter is no exception. From the beginning, Scotty handcrafted different looks and feels in his putters by cutting pockets, bending necks and rounding toes. The Black Pearl finish performs as well as it looks and is virtually maintenance free. These were the 1st Run of 500 that came off the production line. First introduced in 2002, the Studio Design 2.5 is a rounded flanged blade with a pocket. This affords a clean look at the ball, and made for the player demanding precise feel and feedback. In addition, the 2.5 features a rolled topline and a high toe for a distinctive profile. The exceptional features that set the Studio Design models apart--milled from soft carbon steel, flowing necks and a re-designed grip are all part of the Model 2.5. The Studio Design 3.5 is a combination of a natural, flowing design coupled with a mechanical neck that affords a clean view of the ball at address. The 3.5 is a handmade looking, blade style shape with rounded heel and toe and a pocket in the cavity. This design, introduced in 2003 has a short, slant neck giving the putter 1/4 toe flow for optimal performance. The Studio Design 5 gets its pedigree straight from the greens of the PGA Tour. It was first introduced on Tour in 2002 as the JAT 2 Mid Bend. The model 5 is a convertible mallet design with a rounded, slight radiused back flange and a T sightline going the length of the topline and down the middle of the flange. Scotty calls it a convertible because it has the characteristics of a mallet design except with a more concave flange. The Mid-Bend shaft goes directly into the head giving the putter 1/4 toe hang like a Newport or Newport 2 model.
