ALL HOPKINS WEDGES are made the same way we make them for our Tour players including: -8620 Carbon Steel, unchromed, for great feel and rusting purposes -Stock wedges include Lamkin Crossline grips -Stock wedges include Hopkins Golf OTM (On The Money) steel shafts -Six different custom grinds -Custom personalization including engraving, stamping and custom colors THE FACE -Grooves that have maximum USGA dimensions for increased spin -Face milled pattern with maximum surface roughness for maximum spin THE GRINDS Tour pros put custom grinds on the soles of their wedges for enhanced playability, largely based on course conditions. Your game will benefit by using custom grinds as well because you may play in a region where a standard grind is not optimal for your game. SHAFTS The Hopkins Golf On The Money shaft is a 130g wedge flex shaft with a low mid trajectory launch. The shaft is engineered to provide a penetrating ball flight for control with a slightly active tip for feel and maximum spin. We also offer shaft options from True Temper, Project X, KBS and Nippon. Hopkins CJ-1 60 degree
Wednesday May 14, 2014
I won a 60 degree Hopkins wedge (heel grind) in a GK event and am very happy with it. What I like about it its versatility. You can open the face for tight lies/hard pan and close it for softer lies. I've found that my ball checks up better when using this club. I'm not advanced enough to know how to purposely make my ball check up on the green so I like that it does it on its own. I'm considering buying a second Hopkins wedge sometime this year to replace my current sand wedge that came as part of my RBZ iron set.

nice to have a custom wedge
Saturday January 4, 2014
This is a great club. Been wanting to try a custom grind -- should have gotten one earlier.
I got a 60° with a heel/toe grind recommended for firm bunkers and tight lies. This club slides through the firm bunkers with ease and I can actually spin a ball coming from the bunker. Never could do that before. From a tight lie, this club does not bounce or skip like my other wedges. It's pretty easy to get the leading edge under the ball. And off a hard pan lie, I can get the ball up in the air and really get it to check. After 5 rounds, the black finish is showing some wear. Now I have to decide whether to replace my 56° and 52° wedges. | ||||||||||||

Great Wedge
Monday December 23, 2013
I've been using my tried and true Trusty Rusty lob wedge as my go to pitching club for 11 years, that club is now taking a seat behind my new Hopkins Golf 58 degree wedge. I'm using a heel to grind custom engraved CJ-1 that has felt comfortable in my hands for the day I got it. What I like most about this club is the Spin Control. It took me a couple rounds but now I've adjusted to the extra spin the club face creates in comparison to my previous wedge. Recommended.
