Wilson Zip Golf Balls : With the launch of the revolutionary, 50 compression Wilson Staff Fifty golf ball in 2006, Wilson Golf charted a new course in high performance golf ball technology. By utilizing a minimum level of curatives in the polybutadiene mix, Wilson engineers created a rubber-rich core that is extremely soft and highly resilient. With this breakthrough core in the center, Wilson engineers were able to create completely new core/cover combinations with outstanding results. Inside, a zero compression core is so soft that it registers zero on golf s Atti compression testing equipment. The Zip gets its power from a mantle layer made of a resilient DuPont HPF polymer. Outside, an ultra soft ionomer cover delivers the touch and spin expected from a high performance multilayer ball. It s the perfect option for players seeking soft feel, great distance and greenside control. How does the zero compression core inside the new Wilson Staff Zip work? The zero compression rubber core delivers the softest feel possible with high resilience. Wrap a high velocity mantle layer and a resilient ionomer cover around this super soft core and the result is the ultimate combination of distance, feel and spin. Behind the patent-pending zero compression core is a high-velocity Neodymium catalyzed polybutadiene. The unique rubber blend in the core uses a minimum of curatives to produce an ultra-soft (very low compression) core with good resilience. Patented HPF mantle layer encases the zero compression core with a speed-generating mantle for distance and higher iron spin rates Super-soft ionomer cover grabs the club face for higher spin and amazingly soft feel Unique flat-bottomed, shallow dimples rip through the air to create a more stable, penetrating flight |

This ball is magic, extremely soft and some times even in 30 degree weather i even don't feel hitting it in the sweet spot but miss hit it feels like any other ball. THIS BALL I USED TO MAKE MY FIRST EAGLE. The spin is a lot more than i expected, the distance was just as far as the Pro v1s along with height so i didn't have a problem with it, putting it rolls really true. I love this ball and have been playing them almost a year. To bad they are being discontinued but there is a replacement to it, the C:25s, not as soft because its not a zero compression core, its a 75 compression but is more controllable and can spin a lot more with the new grooves and current aggressive grooves.

This ball has a very soft feel, off the tee and on the green. Able to put enough spin on approach shots to stop fairly quickly. It has an unusual dimple pattern and seems fairly durable. If you prefer an overall softer feeling ball without giving up any distance (it goes as far as the ProV1x & NXT Extreme), try it. It is a quality 3-piece ball at a great price.
