Caddie II's Little Brother........iGolf Neo
Tuesday June 17, 2008
Talk about value! At $150 and a one time subscription (with 100 course downloads) of $29 or $39 (I don't remember which) the Neo has everything I need. Front, back, center and on some, more popular courses, end of fairway and fairway bunkers. It has a 'shot distance' feature so you can't claim 285 yards when your drive only went 247. It stores 10 courses in the handheld and the rest is stored on your home computer.
After about 1/2 dozen rounds, the battery is still 65 - 75% after a 4 1/2 hour round. The unit is sealed so returning the unit for a new battery is going to be a consideration. iGolf has a huge library of golf courses. About the only L.A. course I couldn't find was DeBell? If you play there enough, you could map it though.............lots of end of fairway points, cool little course!
