Still Too Buggy

I bought it because it's suppose to work on the Mac. Couldn't get it to work. Tried it on Windows Vista. Got it to sync but then the unit started crashing and wouldn't turn on. It looks like an awesome GPS unit, but unfortunately it didn't work for me. If you're buying this, make sure the store has a good return policy (no restocking fee).

I never wanted to buy a GPS because I thought they were more trouble than they were worth. This one blew me a way the first time I watched a fly over. It's a must have for any golfer. Until the competition starts adding satellite images and the ability to measure your shots to any point on the course, this unit cannot be beat.

Once Callaway purchased UPro - I felt more secure that it would be around for the long haul.
Compared the UPro to the SG5 on the course. The SG5 is a little easier to view in sunlight and with the upgrades, can track your score. That is where the advantages of the SG5 end. With satellite images of each hole and the measuring tool, with the UPro, one can plan out exactly how far you want to hit each shot to have the right approach shot to the green (being able to execute the shot is a different problem). The UPro especially shines on holes with hidden greens and fairways. Prices to purchase ProMode courses have been restructured. Purchasing a single course is still $10, however, there are various packages available reducing the price as low as $1.20 per course. | ||||||||

I used my new Upro for the first time today. With video flyovers before each hole & quick to lock yardages it came in real handy. I shot perhaps my best round ever but don't know how much the gps had to do with it. It has easy to read graphics with large numbers. In ProMode you can get overhead views with front & back hazard yardages. You download courses you want for $10.00 in Promode or $3.00 in BasicMode. I'm really glad I got it.
