I played as a single with a guy from New Mexico and two women, both of whom were GOOD, knew how to play in a cart, and didn't slow us up. The course was typically crowded, and the grounds crew were treating the greens with a wetting agent, which didn't affect play. It was overcast until the back nine. Greens were in wonderful condition.

for the price, probably the best deal in all of CA. golf in this city is now a mandatory 4.5-5+ hrs, weekends are probably longer. If you can accept this (I still have not), this is a nice course to spend a day. You use most of your clubs, have a variety of holes that test your game. A little local knowledge on the greens will definitely save you some strokes (everything breaks to the ocean). Some holes have fantastic views (on a clear day), especially tee box on 11 and approach to 15 (one of my favorites).

Greens are pretty nice for a Public Course with this much traffic. Overall, enjoyed the round here except that very foggy with maybe 5 min. of sun all day. Also ran out of Golf Carts so had to wait around and extra 15 min. for a cart to come in.

Played the course Twilight on a Sunday...Not as slow as I expected. Course was clean and fun. Views would have been amazing if not for the fog that sits on the peninsula.

Played saturday 5/6/06 at 1;00 p.m.Absolutely worth the green fee.Nice greens(not aerated) medium/fast,smooth,holding well.If they cut shorter gonna be fantastic greens.No complaints about fairways,good shape.You have to say "thank you" to slow play here cuz you have more time to appreciate the tranquille sea view.If you want fast play & spectacular view go to near Trump golf club but you have to support $195-$300.From the 1st tee par 5 dog leg left if you are long & accurate driver hitter passing over green & o.b.zone could try 2 on to green to try at least birdie opportunity & another interesting hole is #11 par 4 305yards downhill,my tee shot was short 5 yards to get on green finished birdie here. And # 15 par 4 dog leg left 'to the sea'green placed on edge of the end of barranca 2nd shot aiming to the sea.During the round I thought the market value of this course as golf course or as terrain. Viva los verdes!!!

Why anyone would play this course is beyond me. Every time I call to see how busy the course is, i'm lied to and told to come on down. ONce I get there, they tell me "oh we're pretty busy it might be a while." This is happened numerous times and I WILL NEVER play there again. The course isn't very well maintained anyways. If it wasn't for the views the place would be a joke. Six hour rounds are normal. If you want to enjoy your day of golf I recommend going somewhere else.
