Uncle Jimmy and I played 18 at 2:30pm. 100 degrees out, but Colton usually has 5-10 mph afternoon breezes, we were'nt let down. Breeze was out of the West, and had an avg effect of about 1 to 3 yards to our shots(I enjoy factoring in the wind). Hole 11 had a blue flag, right side, nestled behind one of those 'dune' style traps guarding the front/right side of the green. Dune style, you know, where the back lip of the trap is next to the green, is about 2 1/2 feet higher than the green, and the green actually slopes up in a short distance to meet that back lip. Anyway, the flagpin placement was just 10 feet from that backlip, so they were "double dog daring" us to go at the pin! This shot was playing about 140, and the breeze would add about 2 yards of left to right. My tee shot left a ball mark 12 inches from the cup, and my ball ended up just 6 inches from the cup!
Gotta love this game, no matter where you play it!

P.S. Colton has a covered range(shade!). They have 5 chip/pitch greens, and 2 multi-cup putting greens! My short game is really improving here. Thanks to my practice buddy guru's, Zeke and Bill, for the mentoring and golf reality advice!
