After finishing at Grandview so quickly, I decided to check out one of the executives at Sun City West. I went right over to Stardust and was teeing it up a few minutes later (a little after 3:00). It was pretty much empty out there on a hot Sunday afternoon, so I zipped around in about 1:15.

The course was in very similarly good shape as Grandview. Good tee boxes. Pretty nice fairways on the par-4s. Good rough throughout that wasn't too punitive. The bunkers were another step down as they were even more firm and crusty here. However, I'd say the greens were maybe a tad quicker with the same nice dry bermuda surfaces.

Stardust is a pretty decent little track and it felt like a smaller version of Grandview. However, it is no pushover as an executive. I played the blue tees and it is by no measure a short "short course." Several of the par-3s are over 200 yards (the 6th is 225!) and the par-4s range from 325 up to 400. Pretty open and forgiving layout with some tricky greens, but you will use just about every club in your bag and probably have a good time.
