Arnold Palmer design in Morrison CO outside Denver from the 90's. Never heard of it before but the first word to describe it is WOW. Played 7/22. Spectular setting with unbelievable elevation changes. Tee boxes were unlike anything I had ever seen before. They were like artificial turf but real grass (give that a 10). Fairways were green and lush and had terrific roll and GREAT lies. Rough outside of fairways and around greens was 2 in and good luck even finding the ball, let alone advancing it. Not to mention the side hills covered in dense weeds, water guarding several holes, canyons to carry and uphill and downhill holes. Lets just say it is not a walkers course. The sand traps were large and deep with terrific sand and they had rakes. The greens were running at 12/13 and you NEVER wanted to be short sided in a bunker or above the hole. The last 3 finishing holes are awesome. 16 par 4 dogleg right with water guarding a peninsula green; 17 par 3 water carry to the green; 18 long dogleg left with a huge canyon to clear before hitting the fairway. You know some money has been won/lost on these three holes. I would rate this in my top 10 all time private courses played. Beautiful old style designed clubhouse. Meticulous driving range all grass. This was a tough course to play the first time w/o local knowledge. But what a fantastic course to play. If you are in Denver and have a way to play here, PLEASE do so. You will not regret it.
