Played 10/5, 9:24 start. Hot day, slow round (4:55). Apparently there was a tournament later in the day, and pins on the front nine were cut in some pretty ridiculous locations. Back nine was better, ... Continue »

This sixth hole is a par five, and a very interesting hole. From the tee box about 200+ yards is a shear cliff, at the bottom of the cliff is a small water hazard; a little stream, a fast rolling ball would have the ability to clear the stream, however, just beyond the stream is a rough area. To reach the fairway beyond the rough area would be a drive of about 230-240 yards from the tee boxes. If you are daring enough to attempt this you want to drive from the tee boxes to about the right-center of the fairway, to far right and you will be making a second shot from among the trees that separate the sixth and second fairway, to far left and you will be dealing with trees and water. It may be advisable from the tee boxes to lay up about 200-yards where your second shot will be easy to reach the fairway below for a short Iron shot to the green, but don’t go to far right or you may be in water.

From the tee box you will see a large oak tree toward the left side of the fairway at the top of the hill, take your aim a few feet to the right of that tree, although you may not reach the tree on your drive it will leave you with a good second shot to the green.
