This was my second short course warm-up round yesterday morning. Arrived a little after 8:00 and walked right on, though I was kind of at the tail end of a mini morning rush. Joined up with two other singles on the second hole and we waited behind slower groups ahead most of the round. $17 to walk 9 holes in about 1.5 hours. Conditions were actually pretty good for a low-end short course. Pretty lush and green throughout (very soft like everything on this trip), and generally well-kept where it mattered. Solid tee boxes. Fairway on the one par-4 was decent. Rough inconsistent, but lush. Bunkers had very soft beach sand and were very lumpy, so the ball would often settle into a low spot. Very tough to escape. Greens were great, rolling fairly quickly and smooth. Okay little course with just one short par-4 and the rest par-3s. A few in the 100-yard-or-less range and a couple longer ones. Good course for short game practice and beginners. Friendly atmosphere and home to the local First Tee program. Tricky greens with some steep slopes. Tough when you are above the hole depending on the pin placement.
