Played Friday, October 24, 2014 at 11AM on the second round of my Bend golf weekend. It's been raining in this area the past 5 days, on and off and generally not heavy. We had rain showers intermittently on the front nine, but after stopping for a quick lunch we played the back without showers. Rain was more of a nuisance and didn't affect play, although we had some instances of standing water in the fairways on the back nine. This course is a little more open than Widgi Creek, where we played yesterday, but is in a lightly populated area with a lot of open space around it.

Despite the rain, course conditions were good. Greens were great - medium size, fairly firm, held shots, and rolled well at medium-fast speed. Only negative - every green had 5-10 obvious ball marks that were unrepaired. Lies in the fairways were good, and rough was uniform and very playable until you got into the volcanic rock/evergreen surrounds. Tees were level and in good condition; traps played well despite being very wet from the rain.

Grass range but the hitting area was pretty beat up. Excellent GPS system, very good yardage book available for $1(!). Not much of a crowd today so the grill was not open for hot food. The cart paths need some serious root-remediation work.
