What a deal!!!!
Tuesday May 18, 2010
I purchased this unit about a week ago from Golfsmith online. The unit listed for $99.00 also included in the purchase was a Golfsmith $50.00 gift card, if purchased before 5/9/10. So for $99.00 I bought the unit plus the gift card what a deal. I played Bonita golf course on May 14, 15 and 17 and played well using the Neo. It gave me the numbers I needed and I made more pars and birdies on May 14 and 15, something I never do. On May 17th I was all over the place with my driver, but using the Neo helped me equal my scores I shot on May 14 and 15. I don't need a fly over of the course I'm playing or color screens, just give me the numbers....

Affordable gps
Wednesday January 21, 2009
I was in the market for a GPS for some time now but couldn't see my self shelling out $200-$300 not including membership fees. I came across IGOLF NEO on Amazon for $112 including shipping and then the $35 to IGOLF for the course download. It is simple to use and is pretty darn accurate. I compared the distance stated by NEO to the markers on the course and the golf cart gps and it only differed by a yard. Doesn't have all the bells and whistles the high end units have but that's ok by me. This gps does everything I need- give me yardages to front, center and back of greens and my shot distances. It's helped my game tremendously. Great buy!

Helps A Lot
Wednesday January 21, 2009
Recently purchased the igolf neo from Amazon.com for $107. Paid $35 to igolf for their subscription to download 100 courses during the next year. I like having a distance to shoot for without looking for markers, etc... Not all hazards are listed, so you may have to use their mapping feature. I'm just not sure how to take my mapped course I just played and upload it back into the sync file on my computer. I may have to re-read the instructions. Included with the subscription is online help, handicap tracking, product reviews, and forums. Not as good as Greenskeeper.org , however.

I Got One!
Tuesday October 14, 2008
Bought the iGolf Neo handheld golf GPS device. Out of the box it was easy to set up. Paid $35 to register with iGolf and download up to 100 golf courses, I downloaded the first 20 that I usually play regularly (2 or more times a year). After a couple of attempts (misteps on my part) I downloaded 10 to the device. 10 is the max number you can store, adequate for my needs.
Used it 10/14 at Westridge. The starting distances were 5 - 10 yds diference from the markers, but the distance markers on the fairway were within 1 yd. Not being familiar with the product I used it in defauld mode which gives you only the distance to the center, but was easy to read. Small screen is hard on old eyes, but with backlight distances stand out. In bright sun without the backlight the distances were still readable. After a couple of holes I mapped some of the bunker locations, will see how they work next time I play here. Overall it's a good value $ 127 + tax ($138) is a very good alternative to the higher priced models, after becoming familiar with the functions it should meet all my demands. | ||||||||
