Tee off at 6:30am and finished in 4 hours. The greens were medium speed (not as fast as usual), rolled well, and held shots nicely. The fairways are in good shape. The bunkers appeared good (not in any today). The rough is in good shape overall with some bare spots. The tee boxes are in good shape.

San Dimas is a fun track with some short par 5s and long par 3s. The staff is always nice. Bring water bottles its hot out there. This a nice muni at a good price.

I played on Wednesday afternoon, Got a $20 rate on line. I arrived and was greeted by a starter named Mike. I was 35 minutes early and he told me that I can go out when I was ready. My partner arrived a few minutes later. We decided to get some lunch and had a great meal and the coffee shop girl Nicole was a sweetheart and real cute. When I retured to start the round the course got a rush and we were now 4th up. Mike checked us in and was very friendly. He checkd the GPS and offered us to start on hole 10 to avoid the mess on the first tee. That GPS computer is cool. We said sure and off we went.

We played the back nine and flew around the course. We did hit a slow group on 17 but we figured they were almost done and it was no big deal.

The back nine was hard to say the least. Hole 14 is a beast. The Par 5's are good holes and I reached 12 in 2. But the green is a beast and I 4 putted, We returned and I asked Dave why there was some bare spots off the fairway, He told us that the course was on a 10% water cutback for the month and the course was putting water on parts that mattered.

The front 9 was a little slower then the back but was a little easier.

Hole 9 has a green thats just insane.

Overall My experence was great. The employees at the course are top notch and the course is perfect. The only thing I can not tell you is about the bunkers. I did not visit one all day long.

Even saw some Deer and a Coyote late in the day. After the round we enjoyed an adult beverage and talked to Nicole a little. (my wife is going to kill me)

On our way out both Mike and Dave said thanks and hope you enjoyed the course

We did not know this course was even on the map. Now we do and we are going to play there as much as we can in the afternoons

Played Friday, 5/29. First time playing the LA county course. The layout was enjoyable. The short par 5s are offset by 3 long par 3s. Although several holes have O.B. on one side the fairways have room to play away from it. The greens generally slope to the east valley more than it appears. For a county course the conditions were good. The tee boxes, fairways, rough, and sand were in good shape. The greens are medium fast, roll fairly smooth, but are a little on the firm side. Good course at a good price. I will definitely be back.

Played today and have to say, what a treat. I have never played here before, because I assumed it was a goat farm. Pulled into the parking lot and walked into the proshop to check in and was taken care of very nicely by Eric? I think that was his name. Not the nicest guy but hey, it's a busy place and I'm sure he has to deal with all kinds of poop from people. Eric, you're a cool dude, keep up the good work. Anyway, got paired up with a 3some and off we went. Course was in surprisingly great shape. Greens were fast if you were above the hole, but held approach shots well. Very surprised by the quality of the greens. Tees and fairways were fine as well. Wasn't in any bunkers today but they looked fine too. No cart girl threw me for a loop, but not that big a deal. Overall, was very impressed with San Dimas. Loved the course but won't play here often because we were behind a 5some. Brutal...and painful.

Had a coupon for the Mother's Day Special, $20 including a cart after 2:00. Me and a buddy went, seeing as our mothers live in different states. First experience was not so good. Walked in and had the biggest d^^che at the pro shop. Just had an air of arrogance about him. When I asked him if there was a particular cart we should take, he kind of sniffed and said, "preferably one that's not occupied", in that "you're an idiot" sort of tone, not in the "I'm making a lame joke" tone. I'd have laughed with him at the lame joke.

Anyway, aside from the guy in the shop, it was awesome. Me and my buddy had a single added on, cool guy in his 60's who was about as bad as we were. Liked the carts, although the GPS yardage was off (chuck's cart said he was 20 yards further from the pin when we were parked behind him at the tee box. Stuff like that happened on multiple occasions.)

But the course was in great condition. Some of the par 5s required some thinking around the doglegs, not just straight long bombers, decent par 3 distances. We had to wait on each hole. Despite every par 3 telling you to wave up the next group both on the GPS screen and at the tee box, no one was. Happily, the groups would spread out again on the par 5s.

Overall it was a great experience. Loved the greens, which were fast. I got a really good look at multiple sand traps, and they were good and smooth, everyone had raked the pits ahead of us. All in all I want to go back, but probably won't get a deal like we had.

i think there is a reason y san dimas won the award best worth the green fee for la county. conditions are good to great nothing to complain about, greens are the best ive putted on for a muni. there is gps on carts. the course isnt too long, all the par 5s are sub 500, but some of 5s make up for the holes being shorter with premium on accuracy or extreme doglegs. i played here twice in the last week and customer service is excellent. there are huge powerlines on some holes that you have to deal with, but no biggie for me. the layout isnt anything spectacular but all in all the round was very enjoyable and will be back.
