Played on Sunday 5-31. Teed off about 1:30 and finished well under 4 hour. I'm guessing there was a tournament because we started on the back nine. After the first hole we never saw the group ahead of us. Greens were still recovering from aeration, somewhat bumpy but fast. I liked starting from the back nine, it seems to fee up the congestion.

This was my first trip back to Meadowlark since they changed management (wisely dropping American Golf). I must say WHAT A DIFFERENCE! The only lingering effects is slow play but I have a feeling that has more to do with the inexpensive green fees, mounded greens and short layout. The fairway conditions are nearly perfect! I was shocked how much this had changed and how smooth the greens were running. I would estimate a solid 11 - 12 with no bumps. The tee boxes, although not level at times, were lush with plenty of fluff to hit off. If you can tolerate a 5+ hour round then this is a good time to hit up Meadowlark.

Green are in good condition and the fairways were recently over seeded so everything is in good condition. Rounds are usually slower, but I played during the week and the pace was great!

okay... the oc has some self important people. i think they were all playing meadowlark today. i've never seen people move so slow off the tees and greens. no one ever waved anyone up on par threes with two or three groups waiting. i watched this guy hit a ball then drop another and hit... then drop another and hit. it took nearly 6 hours to finish the round. as for the course, it needs some attention. it's a good old course, but i think the high volume of play is taking it's toll. the greens were punched three weeks or so ago but they were wiped out with ball marks and dents. tee boxes were terrible too. the staff is always nice but the course needs some work.

Hey, played yesterday,Saturday. Had a 1:30 and got off 10 minutes early.Course, overall in good condition. Boxes not great , but liked the greens. Tough and fast and smooth for a muny. Walked and done in 4hrs 10 mins. I was impressed, haven't played here in 25 years. Whatyawant for a Saturday for $40 walking.

SHORT course. My kid plays here just about daily for school. I will admit, it gets old if played more than...twice. William Bell probably did design 90% of the munis out here but he also put out such a gem as Mesa Verde Country Club. The greens are domes on 4, 12, and 14 so watch for that. Not exactly a bomber's course, but green light on 3, 6, 10, 12, 17, 18
Eagle Golf has improved it some. It's slow but coming along. Compared to the heyday of American Golf, Eagle reigns supreme. If you live in the area, ask about the P-3 program. Flat monthly rate for unlimited practice balls and playing benefits. Overall, 2 1/2-3 stars from me.
