Played TCreek Monday morning: POP brutally slow due to a small tourney which played early, we got around in 4:45. Fairways on front side not cut and were kinda fuzzy, some crappy lies due to that and very little rollout, go figure. Back side was fine. Bunkers I noted were in good shape, just a bit damp ... previous post mentioned some had been over watered. Greens cut this morning but were slower than norm, and very soft. Customer service always very good, drinking water on the course, and beverage cart comes out around 9AM.

Played 9/16. I always Enjoy Tijeras. The course offers great variety of holes. The staff is great and food is excellent. The greens ran smooth and I teed off around Midday. Fairways were hairy. Some areas you couldn't tell between fairway and 1st cut. I am sure they just were guarding against the heat ( hopefully). They have a few bunkers notably the right greenside bunker on 11 that is a mud pit. So bad our group normally plays it as ground under repair. Overall I would recommend any one to play their as it is a lot of fun.

Like Weber, I played at T Creek this morning, just a bit later at 7:45AM ... off precisely on time and finished in 4:15 with some waiting as we were only a 3-ball. Yep, lots of water on the course, greens were cut about right and were generally in good condition with a few unrepaired ball marks. Some thin areas along with soggy areas in fairways, just the luck of the draw on your lie. Bunkers I visited were in good shape ... one on the left side of 17th fairway was very soggy where you just had to pick it clean. Nice day though a bit muggy ... good times.

The course is very wet as they are trying to keep it alice during this heat wave. No roll on the fairways and greens are very receptive, but still reasonably quick. Teed off at 6:20 so pace not an issue. Staff was as usual - excellent. They are going to be overseeding and punching greens starting 10/22/12

Gorgeous day at the Creek today. Off on #1 at 7:40am and finished 11:55am with a bit of waiting every other hole. Course loops thru homes front 9 and into the canyons for the back ... no parallel fairways except 10 & 18. Greens were in very good condition: soft, medium speed and a few ball marks here and there. Fairways nice, grass cut even and lush with some bare areas to contend with but nothing serious. Noticed some trees marked for removal but none that would significantly change the layout of this OC beauty.

Love this course. Just wish pace of play could somehow be enforced. Played on Monday at noon and had a great time. It's such a good layout and the back 9 requires a good amount of strategy.
We had a couple of drinks in the clubhouse and the bartender was great.
Sure they could fix a few divots on the greens and speed up the pace of play, but I can't complain too much.
Worth the green fee.

Played Sunday 8/19. Course was in good shape for this time of year. Some burnt areas in fairways and rough but overall in good shape. Only real complaint is that one too many players were on the course who had no clue of golf course etiquette. Round took too long. Hopefully I will not witness anymore players waiting in the fairway from 285 for the green to clear. Especially since they only drove it 240 off the tee !!!!! Just over 5 hour round.

Played Monday morning, 8/13, and pretty much agree with dhamdorf's previous review. Of course, the GK crew were out mowing fairways (in good condition) near the end of our round but we still found many soggy areas which were over watered, try to avoid if possible. Bunkers were a bit hard pan, some unraked ... ball marks on greens galore, very slow and soft, some rolled true some did not. $50 w/Creek card used to be a good deal ... not sure with present conditions.

I played here today, Wednesday. The course is in fairly good condition. The greens hold your shot really well. The greens were not especially fast, but they were smooth, if there were no ball marks in your line. I don't know what is wrong with these greens they don't seem to heal well or quickly. You have to very careful when repairing ball marks or you can tear up more grass than the ball did. The roots seem very shallow. The fairways were a little shaggy and this sometimes caused the ball to settle down in the grass a bit. I enjoy this course. It is a really good challenge. That being said the management has moved up all the tees markers. The blue markers were either on or before the white monuments on all most all holes. Some par 3's the blue, white and green markers were all together at the green monuments. When asked the management said it was to speed up play. We played in 4.5 hours, teeing off at 7:30. I'm not sure where the hold up was, but I fear it was someone in our group of 13.
