played dos lagos Feb 21 for the first time. I had meant to go to Eagle Glen , which is just up the street, but decided to give dos lagos a try.
First off, as mentioned in previous posts, there is no clubhouse. There is a TRAILER and that is it.
I arrived around 830 Thursday morning and their were three cars in the lot. I wasn't sure they were open.
Green fees were 45.00, which I felt was reasonable. They certainly shouldn't charge anymore than that. The course was in better shape than I expected based on previous posts. The recent rains have started to bring the fairways back rather nicely. There is no rough to speak of, so missing the fairway is not penalizying at all.
I enjoyed the round. The greens were nice. Very undulating, and tough to putt. It had rained a few days prior, and the greens still had trouble holding approach shots as previously mentioned. It's best to run your shots up to the green. Another note worth mentioning is that there are 6 par threes. They did a great job with making the par threes very challenging and fun.
One knock I would mention is that IMO they should have added an extra set of tees in between the whites and blues. I played the blues, and the course is not long at all, except for three holes which are absolute monsters. I'm a 10 handicap, and my 240 yard drives put me in position for mid to short irons in on most holes, except for the few where I could not carry the hazards, etc. The blues measure 6500, and the whites only 6000. I would recommend this course, and will be back.

Played mon. had a fair round. Greens are still rock hard. Nice to see that they started putting out ball washers, and they now have yardages on most of their sprinkler heads. They also are putting in new stands for water coolers. its good to see they are still working on the course.

1st off I need to point out before I go on that I like the layout. Got to use a variety of clubs off the tee. Now I know it is a new course but we got there 40 minutes early check in. The guy told us they were running 1/2 hour behind. Well come time to pay and get our cart the guy didn't have any keys the cart guy didn't know anything about it said the guy in trailer had them he didn't know either. The 1 starter didn't seem to have a clue what he was doing. The replacement for him got things rolling after a 1/2 longer delay. Greens are new and real grainy which in time will mature. Fairways were browned out due to winter but were like hitting from hard pan from many areas. Now playing time 3 hours 20 minutes to complete 9 holes yes 9 holes. Never had I played a round that long for 9 holes. Was very dissapointed. A employee came by the 18th and told us if we wanted to play back 9 again it was fine. Yes there was 1 person there that knew how to handle the situation. I really hope they get the course running lot smother with some kind of oginization then I will play there again. Like I said I do like the layout very challenging. I am sure by summer it should be in betterplaying condition if not sooner. For the employee's they need to get things running smoother.

Played last saturday the 2nd. very very busy day probably 250 golfers. we teed off a little after 11:30 thought it would be tough to finish expected 5 1/2 - 6 hour round with that many players. Ended up not being too bad 5 hours 10 minutes for 18, but we got to play an additional 6 holes. Head Pro came out and let everyone know that at the turn we could play the same nine again if it was open and then continue on as long as we wanted. He was trying to help split groups to help speed of play. For what this course has to work with the value is great especially some of the web and e-mail specials. Looks like they are putting in some ball washers and water coolers, so they are making changes, just hope the price doesn't go up. Staff always trys to make me feel at home. Will keep comming back as long as they don't raise the prices too much.

Greens are smooth and true, but they are also big with lots of undulations which makes the approach shot very important, the more I play here the more I get used to it. You use lots of different clubs off the tee boxes which is very unique and hardly any homes are on the course which is great.

first time I played this course. Brown grass everywhere.... I have never played a GOOFier course than this. One par 3 - 103 yrds. lots of workers driving the course not much work being done on the course, SOLID BROWN GRASS THe hillsides are greener. NEEDS OVERSEEDING. Will not play again way over priced. No drink cart no food, cart was a mess. They need $$$$$ to improve this place everything is outside even their golf shop. They have no signs or diagrams on the course of holes. no ball washers, no water... Oh A pay water hole on # 12..Very disappointed in this place don' t waste your time or money...They are planning a clubhouse( trailer) some day...one of the poorest courses overall I have ever played. The greens are good....

Due to the frost delay, our threesome tee'd off on the 10th hole at 12:00. The fairways were yellow throughout, the greens were tricky w/ many double breakers, tee boxes were in good condition, and the pace of play was decent. We could have finished in 3 hours, but finished in 3.5 hours because the group ahead played slow. It started raining during the 17th hole, but the weather overall was chilly and windy. This course is still fairly new and doesn't have a clubhouse yet, neither does the course have any restrooms other than portable ones. I would recommend playing this course when all the amenities are present and the course is in better overall condition.

Lack of clubhouse & driving range are a real drawback. "High-end" portable restroom lacked toilet paper and was obviously less than ideal.

Lack of clubhouse & driving range are a real drawback. "High-end" portable restroom lacked toilet paper and was obviously less than ideal.

I am not really sure why the architect didnt start everyone on what plays as the back nine (which is much more open) and let people warmup their game before facing the narrow holes that now constitute the front nine. Pace of play was brutal with 4 (yes, FOUR) groups waiting on #3 tee box with a group putting on the green and one waiting to chip on.

Definitely not worth the time/money with the likes of Eagle Glen and Trilogy a stone's throw away.
