The course should be in great shape in a couple of weeks.

And it was only $29...Course was in great shape except for some of the greens but who cares!! Only coplaint of the day was the twosome ahead of us who seemed to think that talking on the cell phone while we wait was more important. Next time I'll drive up on them!!!

what is even more interesting is the front-side greens are in much worse condition than the back-side greens.
lastly, the course was soaking wet in the low areas of the fairways. i had many shots that had mud on my ball and it is hard to play shots with that much junk on your golf ball.

For the price a GREAT course. The greens were alittle chewed up for some reason but still played well.

Sierra Lakes is one of my favorite courses in Southern California because the green fees are so reasonable. My only complaint is that the players do not fix their ball marks on the greens. Pace of play was a bit slow with the foursome in front of us. One of them was a cute hottie in her 20's, so who can blame them? :)

i know it can't be said enough, but FIX YOUR BALL MARKS on the greens. the management needs to get more aggressive on enforcing this, it is starting to affect the playability of the golf course! there were plenty of ball marks (fresh ones, i fixed on average about 3 marks on every green) and plenty of bare spots. this course is one of my favorites, but i'm not going back until they fix this problem. pass out divot repair tools at the start, that's got to be cheaper than fixing the greens! i know the people that go to this site are not the problem, it's the other losers that don't know what they are doing are the problem, but hopefully enough people will speak up and sierra will listen.

other than the greens, the course is in good shape and still very playable. tell the staff that you're playing goose creek from now and maybe they'll get the message.

That said, had a great time today 7/28. Course was in great shape. Pace was good. Service above par, however no beverage cart. Used donovan daily special, but have played at regular price. Will be back.

The service was good. We walked on a twosome and only waited 10 min. Tried to hit a few balls on the driving range but the grass was mud. It made for a messy shirt in the morning. This was my first time playing this course. I enjoyed that is was easy to get around not being familiar with the course. The tee boxes were in good shape. As well as the fairways and rough. Until i got to the first green I was impressed then I was dissapointed such a beautiful course and tons of divot marks. Sad that players can't take a second to fix their marks. It got awfully hot fairly quick for a 6:00am tee time especially with the baby trees. But all in all with the early bird special I would definatly play there again the positives out way the negatives. Oh and one more thing I still don't like GPS I'm young and love computers but the yardages are off TRUST the SPRINKLER HEADS and play all your approach shots about 10 yards less the ball just seemed to fly there.
