Tough call to keep playing here - the course seems to have taken a beating lately. Fairways are OK, bunkers are pretty hard/firm, some tee boxes are still way too crowned, etc. Surprisingly, the worst aspect of this course on May 3 was the condition of the greens. I say surprising because they aerated within the last couple of months, but these greens are REALLY beat up. Very bumpy, lots of old pitch mark "scars" and unrepaired holes. Given the condition of the course, it's amazing they get as much play as they do (and get away with charging what they do). I'm not biased against E-Ranch - I'm a member of their men's club and I just wish they'd take better care of the place.

Was worth the drive. Fun course in very good condition except greens are still recovering from aeration. Several holes have nice views of the ocean. Would play here again even with the long drive.

Pleasant surprise - played 2/22 at 10:08, right after the men's club went out, and finished in less than 4.5 hours! Usually Wednesday's are brutal, but the men's club had it in gear today. Anyway, the course is in OK shape, but half of each green has been punched and sanded. The greens were better than I expected them to be, though, despite being really soft in the aerated areas. This course definitely shows the effects of high-volume play, but sometimes it's just too convenient to not play it. I'd give it a week or two to let the greens come back, and/or find out when they're going to do the other half of each one.

Played Monday Jan 30th. Had a 8:08 tee time and finished at 12:15. Great course! Fairways were beautiful. Greens alittle hard and a few had marks, but all were fair. Excellent golf course for the average golfer with wide fairways thru-out with just enough tough holes to keep you honest. Will be back again soon.

For what they charge, it would be nice if they maintained this course a bit better (ball marks on greens, slanted tee boxes, some torn-up fairways, etc.). And for how much they bark about a pace of play program, I've yet to see it enforced in all the years I've played the course (especially on Wednesdays after the Men's Club goes out).
