Squeezed in a 2nd round of golf on a work trip to Vegas. I also submitted a review of Primm Valley Lake and I had said there were no "Wow" holes on the course. Wolf Creek has about 18 "Wow" holes. Has to be one of the top 5 courses I've ever played. An absolute joy!!!

I don't usually go to the bag drop, I have no problem carrying my bag. Someone saw that and rushed out with a cart to help me. That was sweet! I think I had a nice conversation with just about everyone I came in contact with. As a 10 handicap, I was told to play whites and I did but did not hit a driver or hybrid all day, mostly 4 irons off the tee. That was a big disappointing.

Tee boxes - lush, just perfect.
Fairways - ball sat up perfectly
Rough - long enough to grab your club
Greens - recovering from being punched so a little bumpy. should be fine in a few weeks.

I went out as a single and 3 groups were kind of enough to let me through.

Played today, on my way back from CO/UT. I had not played here in over ten years and did not want to wait another 10. Got out early had a nice 4 H POP. This course will test every part of ones game, IMO. I never had a bad tee box all round (and I loved the elevated ones). Fairways were terrific (green/lush) and never had a bad lie and tremendous roll in them. Bunkers were just great to hit out of. Rough was not really a factor, IMO. Greens were fast and you did not want be above the hole. Customer service was excellent at all levels. This is one course, that one should experience for themselves, regardless of how well we can describe it in a review. I really believe, every golfer will see and experience something different for themselves, after playing here. The views, elevation changes, conditions, etc. make this a must play (if you can) IMO. Even if it is in Mesquite.

Because I had such a good time my first trip to Wolf Creek, I had to return (Yesterday) , and let me tell you what, BY FAR the best course I have ever played. I travel all over playing golf around the Country, and there truly isn't a place that you can compare to Wolf Creek. The course condition, the elevation changes, the views, everything about Wolf Creek is jaw dropping. During my week stay in the Southern Nevada area, i played 6 different courses, and Wolf Creeks greens were the best, no questions asked... Moving on from the golf, I would like to take the time to say how helpful and accommodating the Golf Shop staff at Wolf Creek is. They had answers to all my questions and solutions to all my problems. They make the return to Wolf Creek very enjoyable and I cant wait for the experience again!

This is the first time I played Wolf Creek in the Spring. It was definitely more expensive but in the end well worth it not playing in 110 degree temps in the summer. Golf course as usual was in great shape and the staff is down home welcoming. We teed off in the morning and paid a $45 re-round rate for more holes in the afternoon. I am always floored by the uniqueness of the course always an awesome time.

WOW.. Just F... in wow. Second time playing this course and it is just a fun course to play. I found my self laughing out loud more then once from the T shots and the scenic beauty. Emerald green against the tan mudstone hills. It's amazing the imagination of designing & then building this course. Fairway's were almost Rams Hill quality. Good roll and ball sat perfectly.
Greens were receptive, smooth and fairly quick. Down hill putts easily got away if you were not respectful. A couple of pin placements were right below a tier and if you were above, you'd have no chance of keeping the ball anywhere near the hole and risked the ball running all the way off the green. You HAD to keep the ball below the hole at all times to have any good putting chances. The traps were the best I've seen & played in a long time. They had a firm base and about two inches of softer fairly course sand that made getting out very predictable. No cart service, but good customer service before & after the round. The halfway house has a drive through lane & window for food & refreshments. Awesome ! Small iron only driving range which really sucks because the T shots require very good driver play. Would recommend stopping at one of the other courses to warm up if you can? Price is a little steep, but worth every penny IMOP. Highly recommended bucket list course !

Played here on 12/8/17 as a group of 7 and finished in about 5 1/2 hrs. Our group teed off on #10 at 9:15am as the #1 tee wasn't available till after 10am for us. It was 3rd time for us here and the views and course conditions still continue to amaze us. Everything here was near perfect with the exception of rock-hard fairways under the grass coverage. For our group, divot repair wasn't necessary as we couldn't make a divot if we tried.
This is probably the only course we don't mind playing in over 5 hrs as it allows us for more relaxed picture taking opportunities.
Although some may say the course is a bit tricked-up, for us, Wolf Creek remains as our #1 favorite course. Certainly recommended.

Played here 10/29/17. POP was 5 hours. Everything is immaculate. Tee boxes are perfect and fairways are beautiful and lush. Very tough course. I played from the championship tees and I am a 18 handicap and shot a 109. Your tee shot is everything on this course. Watch out for hole #3 the par 3 uphill. It's almost impossible to par this hole. Staff was friendly. Never saw Golf marshall but others said he was friendly. If you shoot under 80 here you're a stud!

I come with a group of guys to Mesquite this time of year because of the great and unique golf. This year did not disappoint. I will spare all the details about the service as we arrived it was excellent as usual.

We did get to the first tee and it didnt look as lush as it has in the past. Reason being is that the fairways were just aerified a couple of weeks prior. I asked the golf shop at the end of 9 holes why some of the fairways were not 100 % green as in past years. I was told that with the warmer weather they were transitioning to Bermuda grass for the summer. It made sense to me and by no means were the fairways bad just different from last time I played.

The greens were also different in that they were smooth and fast. On the multiple tiered greens that made it fun and in many cases way to challenging. The bunkers and tee boxes were in excellent shape with the exception of a couple that they were in the process of re- sodding. I am guessing that is part of normal maintenance going into summer.

I play a lot of golf and this remains my favorite golf course in the country. The views off the tee boxes are amazing with the exception of number 3 which is straight uphill. If you are a golfer and cant enjoy yourself here you wont enjoy any golf course. See you next year.

My family and I went out on 6/2 to play wolf creek with a 630 AM tee time. We play here the first Friday of June every year. I booked the tee time in February for $135 as last year the was 3 days of tournaments on the first weekend of June. This year we were what seemed to be the only non Tournament group to play and we had about an hour head start on the Tourney and had the course to ourselves never coming with in 4-5 holes of the shotgun start. If you play anywhere with no wait this is the course to be on. My brother will probably talk about the amazing amount of Pro V1's he found on the course and we took extra shots here and there. POP was about 4.5 for us.

After reading Robs review it was looking like a picture perfect golf day and fun outing. Unfortunately the course decided to aerate 13 of 14 fairways in the week between when Rob was there and us so it took the conditions down a notch. The course was still visually stunning and green but some funky lies in the fairways were a possibility. The aeration holes were about 3-5 inches apart and filled perfectly it just took a little extra attention when making a shot. It also seemed that they did not change the tee locations for a couple days as there were a few tee's chewed up.

Everything else was great and well manicured with the greens being soft and a little slow for my liking. The course was well watered due to the aeration and that caused the sand to be wet which was not a problem for me as I only ended up in one Trap. The same could not be said for my family they loved the beach.

In all $135 is a great price for a Friday in early June to play this masterpiece and regardless of the aeration I would pay to play anytime.
