Played Tuesday, December 6, at 8:30 am. I was joined by a couple of guys from Vancouver. One of them had local knowledge which was really important as there are several tee shots where knowing the angle or where the fairway ran out was really helpful. Following the advice was my problem as my driver was not cooperating. Time and again though I found my ball on the grass even though it looked like I was in the desert. Great design for risk v. reward. Visually intimidating but playable. it was pricey with tax (?) and "convenience fee" pushing the bottom line to $141. Range balls were included and the plush seats in the cart were really nice. There was no GPS but they included a course guide with the score card that mapped every hole.

The entire course had been overseeded. The fairways were shaggy but firm so there was some run. The rough was a factor although we had no problem finding balls. The greens were tough. They were firm and running medium at bes. There were some significant slopes and tiers that made putting adventurous. They would have been much more difficult if they had been playing fast. As it was, chipping was difficult because the ball did not check much on them.

Overall, the course was in real nice shape. One of the guys I was playing with mentioned how much he enjoyed the course versus some others they had played on their trip. Also, we were never saw the group behind and never caught the group in front (which started 20 minutes before us) in getting around in 3:50. I would not hesitate to come back (hopefully for a better rate).
