CenCalHack did a great job describing the layout and setting of this place so I'll go more into the conditions. Greens were rolling super fast. Greens were a touch on the firm shot for approach shots but well struck shots would stay on. Greens rolled true with hardly a pitch mark to be found.

No issues with the fairways. Mostly lush with good coverage throughout. Decent quality sand in the bunkers and tee boxes were in nice shape as well. Layout had a good mixture of distances for the par 3's (Gap wedge, 8 iron, 6 iron & hybrid). A couple of water hazards add to the aesthetics of the place and the tall mature pine trees help provide shade for the summer heat. Most tee boxes are set to the far left of the fairway giving maximum landing area for a fade/slice. However, if you hit a draw or a slight 11 o'clock pull like I did all day then those trees come into play A LOT.

Beverage cart was around several times and the bar was open. Great customer service all around. My main issue with this place were the gnats. Absolutely brutally annoying all day long. I've never experienced anything like it before. Not sure if that's the norm for here in the afternoon or if today was a one off. but it put me off the course as I couldn't focus on my swing or putts because of the gnats constantly in my face.

Other than that it was an enjoyable day on the course.
