Return trip to Lakeridge during another bowling adventure in Reno for Open Championships. This course has not changed since our last time here 7 years ago. First off, driving range is closed due to developer constructing new high end condos here so just birdie balls to warm up with. Staff is wonderful here, very friendly and they care about their course and make you feel welcome. Saw cart Girl numerous times on the course. Course itself is recovering from the snowy cold winter but is very green. Fairways are in great shape with tight lies in most spots. Rough is thick enough to make for an extra stroke or two on your scorecard. Bunkers were full and in good shape, easy to get out of. Greens were very fast and the cold winter impacted spots where the cups could be placed and were pretty much in the hardest spots on each green, very firm and the speed made it hard to attack any pin spots as the ball tended to just roll forever, usually off the green. We had a great time and also we enjoyed watching all the Marmots sunning themselves and eating their food on the course. One of my shots rolled into one and the Marmot didn't even move, so funny.
