Private course that was very accommodating when I called. Allowed me to play as a member for a day. The price quoted on the phone was $50. Course was on my way home so after finishing at Gold Hills I got there at 2:30. Lady in the pro shop was very nice and I didn't notice till later that she only charged me $33. A group of walkers had just teed off so she suggested I tee off on ten. I don't know anything about the course but it seems like it was two different nines built in two different eras. Back nine is hilly and winds through the trees with lots of doglegs. The front seemed like a more classic golden era course with more imaginative bunkers and green complexes. Front was more my style, so an added bonus that I got to play it last. Course was in very good winter shape and probably in perfect shape the rest of the year. I was in a lot of bunkers and they were well groomed, some were flash faced and all had good sand.
Greens on the front seemed a little slow to me but that could be because the greens at Gold Hills were lightning. The front nine greens seemed faster. Nice course, nice people, well worth your time if you are in the area.
