Played my second round as an OR resident at the local muni with a 12:22pm tee time on an otherworldly 70 degree day, unfortunately with a constant 15 MPH wind with gust nearly double that. The course is pretty bare bones, but like Nick's review from even a few years ago, it's in great shape for a municipal and offers all you need, which is good golf.

Tees: Good shape overall. Most everyone I saw played blues here as the course is not very long, but no matter as the tee box itself is the same for both blue/white, just spaced out some. Handful of boxes were unlevel, but nothing to go on a rant about.

Fairways: Good to great shape. Considering it's, you know Oregon, they drained relatively well from rain early in the week and are kept up in great shape. Visually stunning as the grass really pops and offers good lies.

Rough: Penal under the trees. You do NOT want to miss in the areas here closest to the water and natural landscape, as the ball just disappears.

Sand: Was in one bunker and it was fine, but the sand was unlike anything I have ever seen, probably volcanic dirt more than sand, but it did the trick as it was soft and the consistency was ideal for shot shaping.

Greens: Highlight of the round; they were beautiful and quick! On downhill putts the ball was running like it was on glass. People seem to do a good job fixing divots and the playing surface was ideal.

ETC: As mentioned, course is a muni and you can tell in most every regard outside of the actual golf. Clubhouse was well stocked and staff was friendly, but they have a hard time balancing overloading the tee sheet and making sure people go off on time. Rolling up to the 1st tee and seeing 3 groups waiting was a precursor for what was to come; waiting on every shot until the turn, a 5 hour pace, and lots of people yelling at groups in front of them. Overall, if you come out during a slower time and care only about the golf, this would be your place.

Short, tight course, 68.5/117 6043 from the blues, par 72. Played on an internet coupon from their website, $23 to walk midday.

The layout is mediocre, the front 9 zigs and zags in and out of condo's, the back nine does the same with single family homes. Most of the holes are tight and straight. Almost every hole had OB left, if anything, the slope is probably a little low because there is hardly a hole on the entire course where trouble isn't just off the fairway or green.

While I would mark the course down for the layout, the conditions were excellent.

The average sized to smallish greens were smooth, putted medium fast and held approach shots OK. MUCH better than you would expect for a course that gets alot of play located in the city. Very few ballmarks.

Both the fairways and rough were generally lush, I only had a couple of bad lies AD. The aprons around the greens are mowed down, you can putt or bump and run from well off the green if you choose. This is sometimes required because of all the mature trees that are around many greens and the branches you have to go under if you are more than a few yards left, tight or long on most holes. The sand traps were just OK and were not up to the rest of the course.

Not a course I would drive past other courses to go play, so-so layout, but the conditions, (especially the greens) would warrant playing if you are close by.

Played the golf course yesterday and it was in really good shape. We have had record rain here in Gresham Oregon (wow that is something new here lololol) but the course has dried out and it played great. The greens are in great shape my only complaint is that i wish people would fix there ball marks on greens. Seeing as it is public take care of it for the ones who enjoy it most.

Hi everybody, Played Thursday for the 1st time in two months and the course was in pretty decent shape for all the wet weather we have had. I thought the greens where excellent the fairways still a lil moist but very playable. Had a very enjoyable time, but like i have stated , it beat goin to work. Hope to see all my friends on the course this year and GRIP IT AND RIP IT. ENJOY FRIENDS

Well a frost delay to begin and a very very chilly mornin, the fog never really left till after the round. The course played soft and the ball just doesnt go anywhere, but i will say this the greens are in awesome shape rolling great and in really good shape. If you play there remember to reapir your ball marks. Enjoy your round it is worth it.
