It Aint Heavy, It's My Putter

Actually, it is about the heaviest putter around. Putts go where the face is pointing. I really like the way balls come off the face: they roll smoothly and quickly from the start. You will not be leaving many putts short with this bad boy. I have used mine for about 4 rounds and am getting used to the way it feels.

Great feel & weight

This putter has amazing feel and weight. Rolls very true and using this for 1/2 hour at the putting green made me feel more confident with my putts. Very little if any were left short. I personally don't like the way it looks, but love how it feels hitting the putt as well as the handle. Sound is a 'ting' as if you would hear putting with your driver.

Steady Putter with a lot more Attitude

It looks mean. Mean in a good way. It's attractive yet very functional striping was a big plus. Throw in a few Sweet Spot's very own golf balls and you will understand the value this putter brings to the table.
Tried this piece of equipment at Rancho San Marcos. For those of you who have played this course. You know the greens roll VERY true, there are subtle breaks but speed, OMG... beware they are fast! I guess you best characterize RSM greens as very fair but very, very fast. So you can understand that I was a little (actually more than a little) concerned about using a putter that I was unfamiliar. Truth be told I couldn't be further from the truth. I putted amazingly well with the Sweet Spot Putter. I believe I was a little under 2 puts per green. Allow me to explain. The putter has perimeter weighting (I believe 10-15 gram weights on either end that force a straight path with your basic pendulum putting swing. It helps you put true. The striping although visually stunning serves a dual purpose. As it was explained to me, by Chuck, Sweet Spot's National Sales Rep, the striping allows you to line up your putt easily. Throw in a Sweet Spot logo ball you can line up the diamond on the Sweet Spot ball to the diamond on the Sweet Spot Putter, aim both of those diamonds at your target, and viola! You can put with pretty good consistency. You have taken a good deal out of the stroke equation leaving just a nice even stroke to the hole. It's a great teaching aid and does promote a consistent stroke. | ||||||||||
