Played on 6/15 with a 7:00 am tee time. We were able to finish in 4 hours. Conditions were fairly good. Greens were soft in the morning but got real hard later in the morning once it got hot. Bunkers were inconsistent (some soft and fluffy, some hardpacked). This course requires accurate shots or else you're in environmently sensitive areas (rocky, desert area). You're not allowed to find your lost balls in these areas plus there were lots of posted warning signs about rattlesnakes and poision oak/ivy. Bring extra balls. There were lots of rabbits and roadrunners on the course. Course is in the process of building regular bathrooms (only had porta potty on the course) and a permanent clubhouse. Didn't particularly like the course for the price. Only reason played here because my partner got to play for free on his birthday.

Played the course Monday 6/12 at 2:10pm. This was my first time playing this course. The pace of play was good. Our foursome finished at 6:25. The fairways are pretty good, but there are a lot of thin areas. The greenside bunkers were inconsistent. Some were fairly fluffy and others were quite hard. There's not much rough on this course. For the most part, you're either on the fairway or in the rocky arroyo which winds through most of the course.
The course is flat, but very undulating. There are many uneven lies to deal with. The greens were fairly slow. But the fairways had plenty of roll. It is definitely a challenging course. You must be accurate or you'll pay a price (higher score and lost balls!). Many shots can be visually deceiving in terms of direction and distance. You must use and trust the GPS on the carts.
I didn't particularly enjoy the course. To me, it lacks inspiration. I felt like many of the holes were very similar. Personally, I got tired of looking at rocks and desert terrain everywhere. It seems like there's more of that than green grass. I much prefer Moorpark Country Club, Robinson Ranch, and Tierra Rejada. However, the twilight price of $45, which includes GPS cart, is definitely a bargain.

Played 6/10 at twilight. Course in good shape. Greens are a little slower than normal. Beware of going out at twilight on Sat. Had a 2:30 time and didnt tee off until 2:50. After a few holes the pace was good. If you tee off right before twilight, it's wide open.

The speed of greens has not returned after aeration, they are still tricky but much slower than normal for this place. Rest of course as usual in excellent condition.

After playing at Wilson, we played another round at Angeles National Golf Club in the afternoon. Beautiful course. Beautiful sceneries. Quite chanllenging course. If you have good tee shoots then this couse is not too difficult to manage. Greens are firm and fast. If you are in the rough, just take a drop. Very interesting course. Thumb up for me. They are still in the process of builting the club house. Not enough rest rooms around the course are few downer for now.

I didn't play the course today, but practiced instead, and after having come back here after a long layoff from this facility, I can say that while this course isn't on my Top 10-15 in SoCal, the practice facility is. It's a wide and long range, with nice, new practice balls. I hit two large buckets ($9 each), and had only one bad ball in the bunch. The range grass was cut to an appropriate length and was smooth, and they had a nice big cooler of ice water handy. There are some new outdoor chairs, and plenty of water buckets with clubscrubbers attached so you can clean your clubs. The practice greens are among the best as well - large, smooth and fast. So whether you like this course or not (personally, if I'm in this general area, I'd rather hit the 118 fwy and go to Rustic Canyon - just a more interesting and fun course), I think everyone would feel this range is well worth the money.

Played during aeration special and was able to tee off at twilight for $30 and was able to finish in 4 hours on a Wednesday. Overall, thought that that price was fair for the course. It is nothing special as it is quite flat and fairways are a little hard in most places. The layout is just OK as the length and variety of holes is quite good, but it seem like on the front side that you are going back and forth into and against the wind through a stretch of holes. The forced carries from the teebox or to the green were challenging. It would be a great place to walk with a yardage guide/book. It is not worth the price during the week or on the weekend. If they charged the twilight rate all during the week and the regular daily rate for the weekend, then I might would play it a lot more. Otherwise, I'll look for specials or only play at twilight and be able to finish.

The greens are just about healed from the aeration. They are rolling pretty good but still a bit firm The rest of the course is in great shape.
