02/23/09: Customer service is king here. Moneysworth and I played on a 2 for 1 coupon, and starter gave us a better rate: $25 each with cart! Poa annua has all but taken over most of the greens, so it putts a little slower; speed is medium fast and fairly true. The fairways are in great shape, probably because they are so hard to hit. It was easy to take a divot and replace. Sand traps had decent sand. The rough is dormant, thin in many spots, and worn down to bare earth in some areas. You have to hit the ball straight here if you are going to make a good score. Many forced carries, huge oaks, and laterals (natural areas) must be negotiated to move the ball down the fairway.

Course was in good winter condition. Rough is dormant and brown but the overall playability was more than adequate. Tee boxes were okay, but the greens rolled true and fairly fast. I wasn't in the fairways very often, but when I was there was a definite advantage to playing from the short grass. If you don't hit it straight bring plenty of balls. I really enjoyed the set-up. You play from hills to valleys, over ravines, and around trees, and the overall challenge is keeping the ball in play. As mentioned in previous posts the customer service is great; due to traffic I was running late for my tee time, but as soon as I got there they worked to get me off in a next available group and I was on the course in 20 minutes. My group played a 4 hour round (awesome). I will definitely go back!

Took advantage of the Monday special. Course is seeing winter conditions which means the rough is virtually nonexistent. Great customer service, I mean unusually "great". Pace of play was a blistering 3.5 to 4 hrs. Tee boxes have fair amount of divot damage but this is definitely a step up from your average muni course. In fact, having only played the Valley course today for the first time, this may be my current favorite. Alot of this is influenced by the fact that the weekday special rate is about a third of the normal rate. I don't know if I'd rate it as well if I'd paid full price.

Frost delay but got off 20 mins later. Course is in great shape. Great service. Greens rolling around 10 on the stint meter.

Got out (11/18) to enjoy the RR Player Appreciation day...Best $39 I have ever spent. If you have not signed up for their internet specials, you are really missing out. I would highly recommend a visit to the RR website to sign up. For $39 we got a fantastic round, a hot dog lunch, skills competition, and warm up balls. We won two certificates for a buy one get one free round (M-Th). Kudos to the RR staff. We had a great day.

The course is in fantastic condition and the greens are still the best around. 'Nuff said. Excellent service from the guys at the front desk to the bar tender and everyone in between.

Played early morning tee-time on Saturday (11/1) on Valley course. Course was in good to great condition, and greens were rolling fairly slow due to heavy rains the night before and recent aeration. The cart-path only was great exercise, but made for slow play for our group. Overall, an enjoyable experience with golf buddies. But please take care on cart paths on 17 and 18 (in particular 18). My buddies and I lost control of our carts due to slick cart path, caused by rains, coming down from tee box to fairway. All I can say is if it's raining at all, we will not play Robinson Ranch Valley Course due to dangerous cart path conditions. Your cart will lose control if you lock brakes and go down the hill (and even with the speed bumps). We were very fortunate to come down the hill very slowly, losing traction and control may be 2 to 3 times each (think of driving and losing control on black ice). I am surprised to see that there were no reviews concerning this dangerous condition, and no one actually flipped a cart. My father was actually injured in a golf cart slide-out at another course similar to what we experienced over the weekend coming down from the tee box at Hole 18 at Robinson Ranch (Valley Course).

Played Sunday 11/2 in a 3some. Had a 10:10 tee time and got out about 20 minutes early. Caught a 4some at 11 and they let us play through. Got behind another 4some for the last 4 holes or so but it wasn't bad. Played in 3:45.

Our group really liked this course. Golf shop, bag crew, starter and marshal's were all personable, friendly and professional.

Course was cart path only but did not affect play. Greens were recovering from being punched. They may have been a little slower than you would have expected but the rolled very well. The fairways seemed pretty narrow. Hit quite a few long irons and 3 woods off of the tee. Then you hit the 248 yard par 3. Hit 3 wood there too to the middle of the green. 2 putt par thank you very much.

We are already planning our next trip to RR.

Played Friday. First time playing this course and it was great. Customer service was great. Teeboxes were nice. Fairways and roughs were nice. Greens were okay. Alot of divot marks around the greens. greens seemed very thin. Rolled pretty true. some challenging pinplacements. Overall it was a great deal($59) to play this course. Would come back again
