Great little course, good layout with some challenging holes. There is enough water and sand to make it an interesting experience. Fairways and and greens are in excellent condition and the staff all seem very friendly and helpful. I loved playing this course and will keep it in my rotation of courses. Oh, and the best kept secret, the only course in Orange County where you can practice on grass - no extra charge!

Played on Friday afternoon. Greens were very fast and smooth - a very pleasant surprise. Hole locations gave an unexpected challenge. Light crowd was another pleasant surprise.

A great place to play if on a time budget. Gets a little busy on Saturdays mid morning. Good place to improve irons and short game. Enough par 4s and long 3s to keep it interesting.

Ok so this is a short course. It's fun and still challenges almost all parts of your game. Can be fun to try and reach some of the par 4's off the tee. There are some challenging par 3's. The way the greens slope make you really need to pay attention to where you hit your approach shots. Two examples; #3 a really short par 3 with water on the front left. If you play it safe and hit high on the green you can leave a long putt that makes a 3 jab possible. #6 a short par 4 that can be reachable off the tee with the wind at your back. This green is really hard to hold as the whole thing slopes towards the back. Behind the green OB is only a few feet away. -- Overall the staff is SPECTACULAR. The course has a terrific range (grass and mats). The practice greens are great. There is even a chipping area where you can hit pitch shots up to about 30 yards. I would avoid Baker during the week in the afternoons (2 PM to 5 PM) because several local high school teams use this course for their practice and matches. Since they only play 9 holes if you play behind them your patience is usually rewarded when you hit the 10th hole. Baker is a great place to take the family. Before you dismiss this course because it too short I suggest you tee it up and show us your scorecard. Par is still par!

even on friday...moved well and no waits...some tee boxes were just dirt...need to move the tee markers around a bit!!!

The course was in pretty good shape considering how many rounds are played here. The greens were in good condition, but played a little slow. I had an early start time so the pace of play was good. Remember, DLB is an executive course and gets a lot of new golfers, be patient with them. We need courses like this for them to hone their skills and improve before taking on the longer tracks.

Played saturday morning at 6:00; finished in 3:30 hrs. A couple of fairways were really soaked and what is with green lake(algae?) between 7 and 8! We always like playing here especially with family.... Continue »

Played saturday morning at 6:00; finished in 3:30 hrs. A couple of fairways were really soaked and what is with green lake(algae?) between 7 and 8! We always like playing here especially with family. Tee boxes were good, greens had very few divots and the marshall sped up a group that was playing real slow. We will come back.
