This is a decent track to play, but I can think of better places to play for the money. Somewhat of a short course and you can use a 3 wood from the back tees on most of the par 4's.

Played here for the second time, and the conditions were better than the last. The greens were in good condition. The fairways were a bit dry and not in the best condition. The rough was in fair shape. The bunkers were in good shape as the had just hosted a tournament. Overall, this is a fair course at a discount rate, but the standard $69 w/ cart is ridiculous. They need to do some work to bring this up to the level it should be given the location/cost.

I know it's Orange county, and that's why this place gets away with charging more $$ than it's worth to play here. (Everyway else is double+ the price, but even so, how about putting some of the money... Continue »

Some tough par 3's (two big uphill ones with severely sloping greens). Don't pay more than $30! Pretty sad, cuz it's right in middle of Irvine. It could be a high class joint and get away with charging big $. Jim, the starter, got us out in the middle of the men's club so we could get done before it rained. Cool cat.

Usually the greens here are great. But, not so on 12/8. Very bumpy and spotty. Go out expecting nothing and you'll get about that. But, it's ez to walk, and only $27 with their discount card which they'll give you for the price of a round. In other words, I paid $49 for the card, and got a round of golf with cart, too (so, both for $49 total). Gives you20% off green fees here, and also Coyote Hills, plus a two for one. I figure i play rancho once very six weeks to work on some shots and get my money's worth (and the greens will have to be nicer). It's okay course; just dont' expect a lot.

Played Sunday Dec 4th. Teed off at 12:20 and got 11 holes in. Enough said.
