$34.oo early afternoon on a saturday, and it's a beautiful 71 degrees here by the beach......you can't beat it. Course is tough, very tight..extremely tight.. I enjoyed the round, and I will be back. Did I mention...71 degrees with ocean breezes. it sure beats the inland empire for summer afternoon rounds.

this is a course for men and it will crush your golf soul. fairways decent, greens were super fast and in good shape.

but some of my buddies have a hard time when a course embarrasses them, such as this one. it's understandable.

you wanna be a tough buy, break 80 or 90 playing this place...toughest course in OC

I played it for just the cart fee from attending the golf show...so it was worth the $10...but hardly more...save your money and go play san clemente gc just down the road!!!

This is one mean golf course. It's not in the best shape, and it's overpriced, but we will definitely be back (at a time when the rates are more affordable). It's hard to know where to start regarding this course. I suppose I should open with the fact that you must very accurate on this course. You must know the characteristics of each of your clubs, or it could be a very long day for you should you decide to take this test. Lateral hazards and "Oliver Brown" rule the day, here, so keep that in mind. Though, some of the par fours are short, they demand absolute accuracy, and that makes them play longer. Sure, you can hit a driver on some of those holes, but you're asking for trouble. On the other hand, you've got #12 - a 456 yard monster with an uphill tee shot and trouble on the left. As for the greens, we thought they were quite nice. They were medium speed and not too overwhelming in terms of undulations. They were kind of a refuge for us, as getting to them is more than a challenge. In closing, I must state that everywhere I looked, throughout the course of the day, I saw people either in trouble or trying to find their way out of trouble. Good luck to you!

Played Saturday morning 11/3/07 in the early afternoon for $45 with their emailed coupon. Heard that this course was tough and ate a lot of golf balls, and they were right. My foursome had difficulty just blasting off the tee without losing balls on the hillside or creeks that run through the area. There are some very steep dog legs as well as a couple very tight fairways to drive off the tee to. For the price you do get some great views of San Clemente and the hillsides and homes surrounding it are very nice. Played pretty easily with only a few minutes wait time between playing groups. Greens are fast. Worth the price, difficulty level is high but take it easy and you should play fine.

THE LAYOUT IS GOOD AND CHALLANGING, A SOME PARTS A BIT NARROW, BUT ACCEPTABLE.
IT IS THE UPKEEP THAT LACKS IN A MAJOR WAY. THE TEE BOX HAD SOME MAJOR BARE SPOTS OR BIG "UN-REPAIRED" DIVOTS. THE FAIRWAY IS KEPT SO DRY THAT THE LANDING AREA IS HARD, SO YOU WILL GET EXCESSIVE ROLL OR BOUNCES, SOMETIMES GOOD SOMETIME BAD?
THE ROUGH WAS OK? GREENS WHERE PROBABLY THE BETTER PART OF THE COURSE,WHICH IS IMPORTANT, AGAIN A BIT HARD AT TIMES BUT, PUTTING WAS OK OVERALL.
BUNKERS ALSO SEEMED DECENT.
I REALLY CAN'T COMPLAIN TOO MUCH, BECAUSE I DID GET ON AT TWI-LIGHT (2:22p) FOR UNDER $14.
AGAIN, I LIKE THE CHALLENGING LAYOUT, BUT THE CONDITIONS ARE NOT TO MY EXPECTATIONS. FOR $14, I WOULD PLAY AGAIN, BUT NOT PAY MUCH MORE THAN THAT, IF I CAN HELP IT.
