course is in pretty good shape. greens getting better after aeration. still problems with marshall. thinks third group out in morning should play in a little over 4 hrs is ok, even though they were 2 holes behind. their second rule on score card says "must keep up with group in front of you" not just stay ahead of group behind you. third group out should play in less than 4 hrs. easy. if one fngolfer didn't oversleep it might have been better, because he is so slow.

The only complaint I have is that the course does not allow you to begin early enough. (Claim that maintainence needs time to prepare the course, which I understand) They almost always begin the day ... Continue »

The only complaint I have is that the course does not allow you to begin early enough. (Claim that maintainence needs time to prepare the course, which I understand) They almost always begin the day with a 4-some, which means that you have no chance of getting around as quickly as you'd hoped too. Otherwise I have nothing negative to say about this very fun golf course. Always a pleasure to play the "Goose"

Is it just me or am I noticing a bad trend in "greens etiquette"
when it comes to fixing ball marks?
I play primarily Sierra Lakes,and they have a problem with
golfers not fixing their ballmarks also. That was the most glaring
problem I noticed at GooseCreek! This does not bode well for
other courses where players are perhaps too eager to "read"
their putts and disinterested in caring about playing conditions for
their fellow golfers. The "season" is in full swing and I am afraid
it may get worse. GIVE A DARN!!! Fix yours and one other.
I am sure all the people who share this great website are not the
guilty ones, but we all know that it only takes one bad apple.

If I wanted to smell that odor, I'll just step into 1scgolfer's bathroom. The Goose is one of my favorite golf courses. Challenging but fair and doesn't require any local knowledge. Just don't play if it rains the night before your tee time or you'll really "notice" the bordering dairy.

Played on 4/25 - good course for the $. The course is forgiving off of the tee box and presents some fun challenges without being unfair. Pleasant staff and speedy play made the day even more enjoya... Continue »

Pleasant staff and speedy play made the day even more enjoyable. The views aren't that great due to the dairy farm along a couple of holes, but if you're intent on golfing and not sightseeing this is a good place to play.

aerated greens last week so greens are not very good, but rest of course was great. sunday morning and nobody there. played in 3 1/2 hrs nobody in front or behind all day.

Great course. Well worth the $$. Only downsides to this place are the unsightly fences on some holes (not like they can do anything about this, though) and the cow smell (it IS next to a dairy farm, afterall) It's a great layout that provides plenty of choices off the tee, though the front nine seemed to have nothing but 380 yard par 4s.

Overall, a great value, a fun layout, and the putting course is a nice finishing touch for what seems to be a very nice practice area.

I would reccomend that you do also
