I don't know why it took me so long to play hear as today was my first time. It won't be long before I'm back . It's a very well manicured course with interesting holes. It's in outstanding condition. Greener than any other course around. Looked like we were in Kentucky out there. Greens were pretty fast & rolled smooth. Several putts looked good then broke away from the hole in the final foot. I had one of my best rounds tee to green but had 3 three putts. We played from the whites so it wasn't too long. The 'Goose" shows that you dont need huge elevation changes to make for a great layout. We saw the bev cart girl twice and guys cleaned our clubs when done so customer service is good. The course lived up to all the nice reviews I've read.

the course looks good. the driving range is a perfect grass range, and the practice green is awesome. the greens are looking nice. the fairways were perfect, the rough was about 2 in. and lush. the only complaint, some guy(i guess the marshall) told us to speed it up after 12, which bothered me considering 3 of us were walking and 1 rode, and we finished in 4 hours exactly... thats the only complaint i've ever had about the goose.

if you've never played this course, i highly recommend it.

What a great looking golf course. Tee boxes, fairways, greens are in excellent shape. I played in a tournament here today and everyone loved it. I'll try to come back here again soon.

What can you say, everyone loves the Goose. How can you not. A great layout, always in good condition, moderately priced, etc. Course still showing some residual signs of the recent punching, but overall it's in great condition. Greens did not look good, but they putt just fine. One of my very favorite courses to play !

Played here today 11/12 Wed. at 11 am for the first time. And i will say its worth taking a day off work. Ive read so much good stuff about this course in here for a while now. And i can't believe we just played it only today after playing almost all the other courses in the I.E. first. Anyway course is in perfect shape right now. The tee boxes were just perfect, the fairways were almost perfect, I dont remember seeing any thin spots or brown spots. Greens healed just perfect, Rolling smoothly. Pace was suprisingly good, After arriving an hour early and seeing all this groups lined up at the 1st hole going in before us. It kinda felt like its a weekend.Anyway we started in time and finished in a little over 4 hours. Overall it was a perfect day out in Goose Creek. And i am sure me and my bro will be back here soon.

Played yesterday and got the full wind treatment. Blowing pretty steady at 30-35mph with gusts of 45-50mph. Tough day to score but actually it was kinda fun and challenging to hit 6 iron from 80 yds out. Then, you can hit your sand wedge 160 yds downwind. Throw the yardage away and just hit shots. Pure golf. Loved it. As for the course, this course just amazes me. I've probably played here over 150 times and never tire of it. The amazing thing, though, is the overall health of the grass. Goose can sometimes get ragged, but not because there's weeds and fungus everywhere. The turf is generally very healthy and vibrant. Right now it's in fantastic shape. Greens are rolling nice, the fairways and "rough" is outstanding, the whole course is alive and well. The bunkers could use some more sand, but when the course sits in a windy, vulnerable area like this, I can understand why there's bunkers that are thin. Give that head super. a raise...Goose is awesome.

Played 11/7, very gusty wind condition. Howerver, course condition was excellent, always impressed with how they keep the course so green and lush. I dare other public course in SoCal to say they have better maintenance. As always, triple thumbs up to the Goose Creek management and greenskeeper team. Now if only they can do something about turning down the wind. :-)

Well, after years of being on my "bucket list", I finally played Goose Creek today. As everyone says, the staff was great. They have a very nice, all grass driving range. I teed off a little after 9am and was put with a threesome of older guys. They played the white tees so I did, too ... and I'm glad I did. The wind on the back nine was howling. Anyway, the course was in very good shape. It looks like the only green with any lingering issues is the par three fifth hole. The course conditions from tee to green are about as good as any daily fee course I have played in this price range. I guess Father Cheese (unpaid spokesmodel) is right about this place.
