Played 1/31/09 course was in great shape; the greens are still in need of help are somewhat slow but are coming around and the tee boxes have new grass and were in pretty good shape. Fairways where in great shape as were the bunkers, the sand was soft and fluffy, all in all it was a great day finished the round in about 3 hours on a Saturday morning.

i dont know wy this golf course gets so many bad reviews. this is a golf course in the middle of noware, where you don,t have to worry abaout traffic, houses, cell phones etc. plus de luz area is one of the most beautifull areas in riverside county. great golf course thank tou guys.

Looks like the new owner is spending some money at CrossCreek, but in my opinion he is spending in the wrong places. They have added a creek to the already difficult 18th hole, which in my opinion, they should make into a par 5, instead of a par 4. Tough to get to as it is nestled back in the hills, but its a great track nonetheless, would be nice to see them spend some on making the course easier, not harder.

Played last week, first time since the new owners took over. After making the hour drive from LA, I was REALLY disappointed with the course conditions. Driving in, I noticed the new gate, and new golfer structure/fountain that were constructed since my last visit, and thought "hummm...maybe the new owners are spending money making this place better"
Well, that thought flipped 180 degress once I was out on the course,
the course was in horrendous shape. Owners, forget the fountains, and building a creek connecting the 8th and 9th hole lakes, and spend some money on the golf course! ! !
The tee boxes were raggety and divot-pocked, the fairways were bare in so many places. One fairway looked like a patchwork quilt, with large blocks of bare dirt, thin fairway, and re-located sod!
The greens were neglected as well. Many of them were covered with bare dead dirt spots...many of my birdie and par putts had to go over an obstacle course of ball marks and bare dirt!
One of my playing partners mentioned that the course conditions reminded him of playing his local "goat track--Azusa greens"
Save your money...if you want to play temecula...go to Redhark or Temecula Creek instead.

I played this course on Saturday the 26th of September, and the course has gone to hell. This track used to be one of my favorite tracks in Southern Ca. and I would play it 1-2 times a month including a 120 mile roudtrip drive. I don't know what has happened, but the new owners seem to be putting more money into a new entry gate and statue then into the course itself. The tee boxes, fairways, and greens where hammered; it was very dissapointing to see. I'm just hoping that this is one of those "Things sometimes have to get worse in order to get better" type situations, because if not, I don't see this course maintaining a shelf life for years to come.

In the past, I would drive 80 miles to play this fabulous layout golf course in spite of its distance and price. It used to be one of the best condition courses in San Diego area. Not any more, I was shocked to see the course in a stage of disrepairs. All tee boxes were damaged from poor maintenance. They lost the 18th green completely!! The sand traps don't have much sand in them and were not rake. The bunkers on #18 were just dirt!!! This course is becoming a "Cow Pasture!"

The customer service was very poor. They didn't inform me of their problems when I checked in and paid my green fee. I would play else where if I knew about the conditions. The pace of play was very poor. We were told my the starter to start on #10 because some of the Golden State Tournament players are still on the course. When we made the turn, there were five groups stack up on the first tee. Apparently, the starter went home and the later tee time were not told to start on #10. How stupid was that? We decided to skip the first hole and finished the back nine in 1 1/2 hours.

I probably will not go back to this course for a while. It's not worth the money!!

Went there on saturday 7-19. This course is always challenging. The greens were in terrible shape especially considering the 85$ green fee. Some spots on the greens were basically craters. The food though is very good and the people are nice. But they do need to fix their greens.
