Course seems in much better shape compared to when it was 36 holes. Greens are smooth right now and they have managed well since the big rainy season. I've been playing this course for over 15 years and the one bad thing I would have to say is that it can be hard to find a nice long tee shot if it is even a few feet into the rough, due to large amounts of mature trees dropping their leaves. Overall 4/5 and recommended.

course is in good condition. sand was a bit hard. greens are definitely quicker than expected. pace of play was good after skipping a group of new golfers.

Not Recommended!! Teed off a little before 2p and knew it would be a little slow but HOLY COW!! The course has a decent layout but is in desparate need of significant TLC. Pace of play was horrendous!! I saw a marshall on the course a number of times but did not once see him speak to anyone, even us!!! Tee boxes, greens, fairways, and rough was the worse I've ever played. The course layout is a little confusing since it appears that they have made adjustments to accomodate construction. Customer service was terrible as well. All in all I can't find anything positive to say about Green River. Save your money and go somewhere else!!!

I generally play here about once a year. The conditions from the last time I played have improved dramatically. The greens were by far the best I have ever seen them. (must have recovered from their recent punching?) Except for the tee boxes, the course was in great condition, and for $17.00, a bargin! Staff was perfect. Only complaint was playing first off in the morning, I had a LOT of sprinklers and maintainence seemded to follow me around the entire round. (But that's the price for starting at dawn and playing in a couple of hours.)

Planes, Trains, and Automobiles ... first time out at Green River, in a word: distractions galore. Noise from the 91 fwy. and trains every 10 minutes. If you can handle that, then you have a ho-hum, semi tight set up on a muni course which can be fun if conditions were just a bit better ... maybe I picked a bad day to check out the course. Greens needed a mower (and now they've begun areation) as did the fairways. Bunkers a bit firm below the surface, rough around the edges: typical muni. Worth an occasional round, at best. Friendly staff & decent food, but I can't say I'll be back anytime soon.

Played the new 18 hole setup for the first time. They've taken Holes 1 - 9 from the old Riverside course for the new front 9. The back nine is Riverside holes # 10, 11 and 18, then onto Orange course Holes # 9-13 and 18. The fairways were in a little better shape. The green were hard and on the slow side. To attract golfers they have some lower than before green fees. We started on time, and although it felt like we waited on the group ahead of us, we still finished in less than 4 1/2 hours. Enjoyed the round and will be back.

The course is getting put back into shape. The greens are in the best condition I have seen them in several years. The staff from the Head pro to the cart kids are friendly and helpful. This is a fun track at a great rate. If you have not been out in a while I think you will be pleasantly surprised. The only bummer is that some of the trees have been damaged by the wind and weather.

Played for the first time here and if it wasn't a round taken care of by a a buddy of mine, I would have been really disappointed. I don't know what the regular green fees are here but, I couldn't see myself paying anything more than ... $20.00?

Had a tee time for 10:30AM and couldn't tee off until 40-minutes later - for whatever reason. We get to the first tee box and could barely find a level area with any grass! I also noticed that this track seems really old. There are a ton of roots (big roots) that could actually damage your sticks! Anyways, we look down the fairway from the first tee box and we see a foursome on the green, another foursome waiting for their approach and the foursome right in front of us that tee'd off. I knew it was going to be one of those days ...

This course used to have (2) 18-holes tracks. Since the problems with flooding, the US Army purchased some of the land and the course decided to combine parts of each course and make it a single 18-hole track. The new layout is seems pretty simple with relatively flat fairways and greens. Even though the greens were punched about a month ago, the ball rolled quick but, bumpy at times. Some greens still had signs of sand. The fairways also had some work done and you can really see the holes in the ground.

You can see all of the construction still going on and heavy machinery tucked away behind trees. Not the prettiest of sights but, there are a few holes that have nice picturesque settings of mountains.

I would definitely recommend this course to a beginner (high capper) due to the relatively flat layout, wide fairways and flat greens. It's kind of a bummer after playing rounds at other courses in the Corona area. This course can be seen right off the freeway at the Green River exit off of the 91 freeway.

The snack bar is located after you finish hole #10, the club house is not directly at the turn but after you finish hole #12. No sight of a cart person. Lots of slow play. One guy actually came back to re-tee his O.B. ball on a par 3. We asked him, "Playing for a lot of money?" and he replied, "No, my buddies wanted me to re-tee ..." He said this with our foursome waiting and the group right behind us also waiting.

All in all, if you're itching for a place to play in the Corona area, there are plenty more tracks to choose from. Personally, I am in no hurry to book another round here. One of the grounds keeper told me that there is more construction scheduled that will last well into January 2011.
