Played 3/10 and the fairways looked improved, greener than normal with some nice roll. Greens were in good shape. Overall, the course is a little rough around the edges and could use some TLC on cart paths. For the money, it is OK however.

Played Saturday morning 2/23/13. Little trouble on first tee box due to a brief frost delay and some angry regulars who had to wait but after we got out there was no delay and the folks behind us never had to wait so they got it figured out I'm sure. As for the course: standard muni course in many respects better than standard in others. Putting/chipping green, driving range with grass (probably just weekends), nice facilities and its obvious they take pride in their course. 45 dollars with a cart on Saturday morning is a great great deal here. Greens were in good shape, tee boxes were flat, fairways were decent and many trees made straight drives a priority. Good driving holes, I am definitely coming back here because the price is right and the course is fun.

Played Green River on Sun 11/04. I played Green River last Sunday also. Some of the greens are showing some signs of trouble that were not there last week. Greens 1,4, and 18 having some issues but still playable. Played from the blue tees. Some boxes are bare but not an issue when you tee it up. Did not visit the sand today so I can't offer and opinion on the bunkers. Tree lined fairways make it a must to find the fairway. Rough is sporadic and not an issue for me today. Wind tends to pick up here so be mindful of club selection and leaves can make it tough to find your ball. I mentioned these things last week but I think its an important part of playing here that all golfers playing here should be prepared for. Cart girl was around often and staff is super friendly. Go out and play if you are in the area.

Played this morning and whew, first off, they tell you no fivesomes allowed. so what do you call the 2 groups we were behind? 4some + 1? you can see how the management runs the course. Either enforce the rules or do away with them. Now the course itself. They are still doing maintenance, fairways were all tore up like they were getting ready to overseed. The bunkers are just mud. Maybe in a couple of months I'll try again.

Played Sun 10/28. I hadn't played here for over a 4 years, last time I playedGreen River they had 36 holes. The new 18 is a good combination of elavation changes and dog legs. Course is priced to be played. It's an excellent value! Greens have recovered from the recent aeration. Lots of trees and at this time of the year, leaves, so keep an eye on your ball! It could easily camouflage itself amongst the leaves. Course can get windy so choose your clubs wisely. Played 18 in about 4hrs 30 min.,saw the cart girl 6 times plus snack bar after 2 and 11 makes easy to get "loosened up" and to satisfy your hunger. Every employee we ran into was so friendly and helpful. I will be back and the next time will be sooner than 4 years...haha.

Played at first light (Well it was actually still dark when I teed off) The course was a mixed bag with respect to condition. Some of the greens rolled very nicely, other, not so much. Some holes the fairways were thin, others had plenty of grass. Overall the course was in "fair" condition, but for $17.00, how could one complain?

I am not a big fan of the "new" Green River consolidation. Best part for me is that it doesn't come in after nine, so there is never as issue with people teeing off in front of you on the back nine. Plus the walk from #12 to #13 and from #18 to the parking lot is rather long.

Played yesterday and was really looking forward to it. Hadn't played this course since the Riverside/Orange course days. I read a couple of reviews mentioning the new course in the same breath as Goose Creek...I beg to differ; goose creak is a Filet Mignon, Green River is a cheeseburger at McDonalds.

Pace of play was good today. (Just over 4 hours for a Sunday morning) Fairways were spotty in parts but overall not too bad. The greens had virtually no divots, but were extremely soft and spongie.

The first 13 holes are all on the old Riverside course. Some long par 3s but overall you can crush this side if you hit long straight drives. The last holes are all on the old Orange side. The wind always seems to pick up down there and it makes it much more difficult.

Big props to the customer service. All the guys were really friendly and helpful.

Overall, I'd say this course is still worth putting in the rotation to mix things up. Not great, but good Muni style golf.

i consider this my home course so its hard to write a bad review, my rating is low but i want to be honest. I love the staff, the new carts are along time coming , there has been renovations going on due to freeway construction for a long time but its getting back in shape quick. but by far the best deal in oc. nice practice hole for your 110 and in short game.
stay out of the trees on this course, I know that goes without saying , but
on this course i mean it. the greens are not bad . the sand traps need new sand so grab the wedge with little bounce. the course will add a few strokes to your game when the wind kicks up in the afternoon, 1 to 2 extra clubs on everything after 2 pm. the grill and bar are great , the pro Art , is one of the best . try it out and have fun.

Played on 7/16. The wind was awful first off, made the round pretty bad. Tee boxes were good, fairways were nice, ball sat up very well. The rough was hit and miss, some areas it was extremely difficult to find your ball. Greens were great, rolled smooth and fast, as well as holding shots. Layout is still pretty standard, nothing too exciting but a great deal to play in the afternoon.
