This track was like they say, the Yosemite of Golf. Every hole on the course seemed like it was the signature hole. Breathtaking views and a very challenging layout. The day we played 2/10/05 it was deffinatley windy; 25mph with what seemed to be 40 mph gusts at least. The service was great and the course was in perfect condition, lush and greeeeeen. My only complaint was the greens were'nt up to par with the rest of the course. They seem to have a bit of a fungas problem or a mixing of their Bent Grass and the invader grass Poa Annua. They putted okay with exception of a couple, but were on the slower side for my liking. Overall this place is incredible and I will deffinately be back and was probabley the best overall track I have ever played; Which is a lot tracks. A must play for sure.....

Played 2/3/05 in the wind as in 40 mph. This course has a great lay-out. The rains have greened everything up and the course is in great shape. The greens were medium fast and fair. Good practice area makes the course a good place to practice as well. One piece of advise, if the wind is blowing where you are understand that this course is experiencing gale force winds as are Empire Lakes, Sierra Lakes and all courses off the I-10/60 Freeways.

Played Oak Quarry on Saturday, 1/15/05. Most of the other courses in the area got hurt bad by the recent rains - but - overall - Oak Quarry held up well. The most noticable damage was: 1) 16th fairway was really wet - a "mini-lake" had actually formed, which played as casual water and relief was given, but it was still a surprise to find my ball in the middle of water after a perfect drive! 2) The marshall escorts you around the hill from 14th green to 15th tee, as there were rock-slides that closed the regular cart-path. They had a major portion of the clean-up done by Saturday - but - 15 (which is a nice par-4 with birdie opportunities!) played as a 150-yard par-3. 3) On 18, they lost a portion of the cart-path up the hill tothe clubhouse, and the wooden bridge. But they did a really good job building a new bridge and re-routing the path. You'd hardly notice the change.

Overall the course drained well and damage is minimal. The grounds crew there is working like demons to get it all ship-shape. I guess because of the damaged conditions, they gave us each 2 25%-off greens fees coupons to use any time through May, 2005. Very cool. The greens need a good rolling, (hard to do after so much rain!) as they are a wee- bit lumpy, but certainly playable!! Fairways were lush and green - rough was long - but not too punitive.

Always a good choice - You can't go wrong at Oak Quarry - and - the staff there is country-club quality!

4.5 hours for a Saturday...not bad. Marshalls keep it moving pretty well.

returned for a rematch but was again knocked silly. this time the wind took over and moved my ball to places unkown. still a most impressive track. greens are fast, good fairways, super service. one downside, group in front of us showed no signs of good golf sense in moving to keep pace up.

Well, it's too bad the overseeding & punched greens are in effect as the course was a real treat. Ultra thin & mush fairways & tee boxes tied in with hard sand traps or waterlogged sand traps. It's obvious they are watering the hell out of this course to get the seeds to grow. Played for $50 due to "overseeding/punched greens" special but I'd wait 2 - 3 weeks til things start to grow in better regardless of price. Many awesome views topped off with hole #14 with a dramatic several hundred foot cliff backdrop behind the green. Greens have multi-tiers on many of them and bring your A game as this is pretty much target golf. I rated the course a 2.86 due to the harsh conditions.....
