Played early on 6/7. June gloom and the fog was so bad they had to delay starting times by one hour. At that point, everyone went out in a shotgun style format. Once we started playing, we discovered the course was in pristine shape. The greens rolled perfectly smooth, fairways and tee boxes immaculate. Only small complaint was the greens were quite firm and tough to get to hold on your approach shots. Overall, I love the course. Need to play it a couple of times to learn where to hit approach shots into greens and to understand where not to miss. Fairways are mostly pretty open so you can really let the driver fly.

these are two of the best courses out there. i have played them both and for 25 bucks both times. they send out many discounts each week so sign up on their website. as to the courses, the champions is the harder course. for the person that said the legends is harder maybe he just had an off day. if you can't get the ball in the air over over a bunker to a green then maybe these courses aren't for you. many bunkers on both courses so stay out and you will shoot ok.

These are too very well maintained and laid-out golf courses. They are rated very near the same, though the Legends is much harder. I play the Black tees on the Champions and have a hard time playing blue tees for the Legends. The bunkering is the main difference. The Legends calls for shots high with all carry to the green, bunkers will catch all those trying to run up. The Legends will have you breathing hard. The price is a bit steep for a non-profit organization course though.

oak valley is a much better golf course and it is right across the freeway. These two courses are not worth the drive!!!!!

When you travel 2000 miles to play golf you want it to be special. I was not disappointed. Next to the Course at Wente Vineyards it was the most pleasure I have had on a golf course.

By far, one of the top courses from top to bottom in Southern California. The amenities felt like a country club environment. The course we played (Champions) was absolute pristeen. Off the tee the fairways are very generous, however, the greens can be tricky on most approach shots. Not a bad trade-off. The greens were somewhat fast but definitely rolled true and pure. Mother Nature made it challenging with some winds but can't wait to play this course again. On a scale of 1-10, this facility is definitely a 12!!!

Drove 210 miles round trip recently to see for myself what everyone was talking 'bout; glad I did. Played the Champions layout on a Tuesday, just me and the tumbleweeds. Good times.
