Based on the condition of the golf course, especially the rough and fairways, and surroundings, it really wasn't worth the value ($34.00 with cart - played Saturday 2/11, 11:00AM). The fairways were in below avergae condition (very patchy of dead grass) in which a drive in the middle of the fairway was uncertain most of the time, whether you got a good lie with soft grass or a patchy region with hard ground. The greens, on the other hand, exceeded my expectations. They were well kept, green and even-cut throughout, and very consistent on speed, with the exception of a few holes where birds reside and leave their droppings on the green (some were fresh and wet), in which I am unwilling to touch to give my ball a clear path. Water plays a factor on some holes. On the back-9, where water is prevalent, the surrounding grass around the hazzard is simply dead, due to the vast amount of birds that pick at it. If you are looking to play golf with tons of scenery of mountains and trees, you get about half of that here. The golf course is in Chino (a cow town), situated next to a cow farm of possibly 500 cows to and even number of pounds of dung., making the experience an eye soring round, and a smelly one. The mountains for scenery are an exception - you just need to block out the cow farm and the flatland of dead grass. Overall, on a scale of 0 to 10, I would give this course a 3.6 rating.

Went out on 12/29 and it was holiday golf. We had tried to get on two other golf courses without a tee time and got shut out. Got to Prado and got on in 30 minutes (Nice!). Now the bad part, they had put out a fivesome in front of us and these guys were having their yearly golf outing. Not a big deal except that after 3 holes they were behind 3 holes. When we made the turn they were sitting on the tee enjoying lunch and this was with two groups stacked up behind them. Never saw a marshall and after 5+ hours of watching "I"ll hit another one" golf it was hard to take. Greens were a little bumpy and fairways were so so. Next time I will go to the dentist.

This course was in surprisingly good condition. Probably gets less traffic than its counterpart, Chino Creek. Greens were in great condition. I play El Prado quite often and am beginning to prefer the Butterfield course over usually more popular Chino Creek. Fun track, and the length from the back tee is just right.

I'm always impressed with how nice the greens are, particularly whenyou compare them with the poor condition of the fairways. (Given a choice I'd prefer the good greens) Hadn't played Butterfield in a few years - about what I expected. Nothing has changed, although there is a new back tee on #5, which I estimate makes the hole about 200yds. Staff is always pleasant and $18 for senior rate is a bargin!

Let me tell you...2 golf courses ...no sign which way you go to find the next tee box....it's smell cow sh$t s since you arive here...gunshots every seconds....what else you ask for this golf course....It's just ruin my holiday weekend....Save your money and go to other place...Costa Mesa Country Club only $35...it's georgous and all wonderful people to play not in this golf course...they all f%@k in...gangs and rapers played here.

Played supertwilight for $9. Can't beat that. Will definitely go back. There are few fairways that still need fixing (likely damage due to rain), but overall a great course.

The course is a bit overpriced considering the conditions. I usually pay on average 10 to 20 percent less on othe courses during the same time and days. Unless they increased the price on me because what they charged and what is displayed on may golf course sites is incorrect and incorrect for the worse meaning higher. Golf Marshall was a nice guy and helped me find many of my errand balls. Course is flatter than expected considering the location. Would play again but maybe twightlight rates.

Course was in great shape and for $9 to walk after three it can't be beat.
