Played and ran another super fun golf outing at Western Hills CC. I sound like a broken record with my reviews, but the conditions/experience a WHCC keep getting nicer and nicer with every visit. Yesterday, 7/6, we experienced super lush kikuyu/bermunda fairways, rough and green complexes. Greens were in beautiful shape mostly smooth, holding shots and med/fast. We played the white tees, which are the most popular due to how challenging Western Hills CC is, we I found the tees to be level, mostly lush and groomed. The only aspect of the course that could use some, not much, improvement to meet the same playing conditions standards as the rest of the course is the bunkers. Although well groomed, the sand was mostly firm and thin. The sand quality did make it easier to escape the traps as the ball would always sit-up and settle in level parts of the bunkers…so I’m not complaining – LOL.

Western Hills CC provides an excellent staging area for golf events. Everything needed is in close proximity to each other. Clubhouse, Snack Bar/Restaurant, Driving Ranch, Practice Putting, Short-Game Area, 1st/10th Tee Boxes, Parking Lot and Bathrooms. Just set up your check-in table in the shaded patio section and you’re good to go. It’s easy to keep track of all your players and keep them informed.
