I think this golf course is using that Aussie program on there greens...and thats not fair to other golf courses that are going by the book. I have played these other Aussie program courses and there greens and far and above better. But I heard that the iron bulid up in the greens is actullay making the greens sink.

After hearing all the "fuss" about "The Poor Man's Pebble Beach", I have to say how much I enjoyed playing a challenging incredible golf course! The greens were slick and playing good golf here challenges your mental state, but again so very well worth it!! The Staff is professional and kind from the bag drop to them loading your clubs back in your car! Sandpiper is everything people say it is and I would play it again, anytime!!

A favorite! Always a challenge and always in great condition. 7000+ yards from the tips and if you play from them expect almost every par 4 to be over or close to 400 yds long. Ocean views and holes feet from the beach sand make this one eye candy and the layout will cause you to think through out the round. No matter where you live is So. Cal this one is worth the drive. A little recognized jewel worth every penny of the greens fees.

Played this course for the first time 8-12 as a walk-on. Course is well-designed and has beautiful views. In very good shape. No yardage book, and difficult to find a marked sprinkler. Print out e-yardage before you go. Only one complaint, #13 tee markers were aimed 30 deg left of the fairway. Normally, I can ignore that, but not with the Pacific Ocean on my right. After backing off the ball 3 times to realign, I still lined up left and lost a ball in the heavy trees. Otherwise, a nice round if a little slow at 5 hr. Worth the $$$.

Wow. That is a golf course. Very slippery putts, but the greens hold well hit approach shots. Beautiful course, beautilful views, beautiful weather.

Played @ 7am. Course is in great shape. The greens were rolling nicely. They were just punched a month ago but I was surprised how nicely the putts rolled. The fairways were also nicely mowed and the grass was tight and even firm in spots (getting some roll was nice). I thought the course was about a 9 out of 10 today. I think the course conditions were way better than a year ago. They slightly dropped the price from last year (maybe a little less than 10%). Customer service is also very good. This is a must play.
