I have played here twice in the past 3 weeks or so and probably play half of my annual rounds here. I have to say, this is the worst condition I have ever seen the Mountain in. It appears something has killed off parts of a few greens. Some were half punched 3 weeks ago, and all 18 were punched this week and heavily sanded. Most of the greens slope back to front, and the back of the greens are in great shape. Unfortunately, most of the sand is on the front part of the green, making putting a crap shoot (we are in Vegas).
Outside of the greens, the rest of the course is doing well. There has been sod replacement in a handful of fairways, which hasn't been marked as GUR. Tee boxes are fine, and the bunkers were in the best condition I have seen them in.
Customer service was it's normal outstanding self, and being 3rd off this morning, we got around in about 3 1/2 hours.
Hopefully the can get the greens back to normal before the summer heat kicks in, as this is one of my favorite courses. I'm going to have to wait a while before I'm back on the Mountain.

Played the Mountain twice in the past week, 2/26 and 3/5. Winter conditions are great. Green grass from tee to green. Course was in great shape as AP was hosting a golf course owners' conference the week of 2/27. Tee boxes level with little divot damage. Fairways were firm with no bare spots. Rough on the Mountain was cut low. Bunkers were wet, and the fairway bunker on #1 had a large puddle sitting in it.

The course staff has always been friendly and courteous. Smiles and greetings from the parking lot where they pick up your clubs at the car, to the golf shop staff, to the starter, and to the cart guys.

Play on 2/27 (early Sunday morning) was fast. We were paired with a 2 funny guys from Boston. Got around in just over 4 hours. On 3/5 (9am on a Monday), we went off as a 2, behind a 3some and a 4, with no one behind us. Cruised around in 4 hours, with little waiting.

Played Friday, 1/6, with GK'er John_T and his dad. Teed off on time at 7:17a, and finished in exactly 4 hours. Pace was great even with at least 3 groups ahead of us. Service was great all around. Course was in excellent condition. Fairways were immaculate and tee boxes were in great shape. Sand was soft and fluffy. Greens were fast and firm. They looked thin, but rolled true. I've never seen them this fast, and with their undulations, they were very difficult. Great experience all around, and was $40 with the OB card.

Played Wednesday, 11/23. Tee time for 2 at 6:37a, at check-in we were told the course was ready when we were and we teed off with a single around 6:30a. Nobody in front or back of us and we made it around in just over 3 hours. We paid $35 with the OB card.

Customer service was great. Bag was picked up in the parking lot. I've never had a bad experience with the pro shop. They are full of smiles and quick jokes. Starter had wet towels ready to go and sent us on our way. Saw the drink cart every 4 holes or so, and the snack shack at holes 6 and 15 was open.

First time I've played here since overseeding and it looked beautiful. They replaced tee to green, and include the rough, not a brown spot in sight. Tee boxes were in good shape. They water in the morning, so everything was wet. Fairways were in great shape. Looked like golfers were filling their divots. Rough was thick and up just over an inch. While the sand was wet, it was not caked or packed down. Bunker sand was uniformed, and I should know, I was in them on almost half the holes.

The Mountain is not a long course, but has very tricky greens for a defense. Some wide fairways with a few short, tighter ones thrown in. Only 3 force carries, and water in play on 4 holes.

Played Saturday, 8-20, with John_T, his dad, and a walk on. Tee time for 9, hit first shot about 9:15. It was backed up from the start. When we pulled up to the 1st tee, there was a group waiting, one in the fairway, a group on the green, and 2 groups on the 2nd tee. Needless to say, 5 hour round. I will credit the group in front of us. After bad/short tee shots, they would pick up and drop near their cart buddy. We waited on most holes, but only for the group to clear. Didn't have multiple groups on the same tee until the last 3 holes.
Tee boxes were in great shape, all level and not a bad spot on them. Fairways were great in most places. Some thin/dead spots that looked like they didn't make it through the last aeration. Greens were firm and fast. My shots rolled out, but our playing partner was sticking almost every shot.
Rough was about 1 to 3" and in great shape. Sand was fluffy and did not appeared to be caked over.
Angel Park is usually in great shape and worth the price (with the OB Sports card).

Played Sunday, 7/24, with a 8:21 tee time. Conditions are still outstanding, even in the summer heat. Greens are in excellent shape. Sand was crusty on top and wet underneath, but that's from the watering in the morning and the heat baking them. Customer service was as good as ever. Round was 4 1/2 hours, waited on a couple of holes, but everyone tries to get out early to beat the heat. Cart guy said the course is wide open after 10.

Warning though, the Mountain course is being airified "wall to wall" (tees, rough, fairways, greens) on 7/25 and 26. Give it a week or so and it will be back to the great conditions.

Walked on as a single at Angel Park (Mountain) around 9:30. Starter asked if I wanted to wait and warm up or go straight out. I went out and didn't run into the foursomes until the 10th hole. Pace was great and finished right about 3 hours (didn't feel the need to play through the fours in front). Now with temps consistently above 100, the course was in great shape.

Tee boxes were the best I have seen there. All level and cut fairway length. They must of changed the positions from the weekend as there were no divots.

Fairways were cut short and were firm. With the exception of #8, all were in great shape. 8 had large brown areas that they were working on as I played through.

Rough was the shortest (1-3")I have seen. Even 10 feet off the fairway, you had a great lie.

Greens were firm and rolled medium to fast and true. Very little ball mark damage. #5 had some brown around the collar but it did not affect play. Bunker sand was fine and easy to hit out of.

The Mountain course is short, but has tight landing areas off the tee. Driver should only come out on about 9 holes. Summer rates are $35 with the OB Sports card. Customer service was outstanding, as always. Cart girl came by 4 times.

Played on Sat. 11/27. Made a last minute tee time for 2 at 1107. Checked in about 20 minutes early and starter got us out with a single before 11. They've had frost delays all week, and today's start was pushed back a hour. It didn't seem like it. Pace was great, front 9 took 2 hours, back was slower and we finished in 4 1/2. Fast for a holiday weekend. Saw the cart girl every 3 or 4 holes.

Angel Park was a driving range with mats. All the stations are usually full. They have 2 putting greens, 1 by the range, and 1 by the starter. They always seem to run equal to the greens on the courses.

It seemed that all the tees (4 sets) were moved up today and took some yardage away. Fairways were in great shape, lush and never a bad lie. Rough was good, not as "fluffy," but made you pay if you hit into it. Greens seemed thin, soft, and rolled slow. Very unusual for here. Lots of unrepaired ball marks. I think a week of below freezing overnight temps had an effect.

Angel Park is always a great experience. Good customer service. Great conditions. The Mountain Course is one of my favorites. The mounds separating the fairways knock the ball back into them. Greens are always a hard read (Ever see a ball break up hill?). Rates are decent with the OB sports card.

Played on Saturday, 10/2 with an early afternoon tee time. Found out at check in that times were backed up around 15 minutes but we were told the course shouldn't be backed up since a tourney would be ending. The starter took some cash to get the group behind us out on time starting on the 10th tee. That would of been nice for all of us. Luckily, a 45 minute lightning delay opened the course since people did not want to wait it out. Took over a hour for the 1st 4 holes, but finished at 5 hours even with the delay.

The course was in GREAT shape. It came out of reseeding looking beautiful. Unfortunately, some people think the 2 divot mix bottles on the cart are just suggestions. Tee boxes were in great shape. Fairways were great (except for the unfilled divots). The rough was indeed rough, as it was thick and the ball usually would sink down in it. Greens were immaculate but slower than usual, but it has been raining for the last 2 days. There was only one green that looked like it had top dressing applied recently.

The Mountain has become my favorite course in Vegas. $25 twilight rate with OB Sports card is a terrific bargain. Unfortunately, they do seem to squeeze in as many rounds as they can, as it takes 5+ hours for a typical weekend round. Next time, I'm trying it in the early morning or during the week.
