Although I can’t rate this course because it’s been about a year since I played it and I have no idea what the current playing conditions are, I can relay a very enjoyable experience I had at Wolf Creek Golf Club July 2004.

After hearing so much hype about how the course was one of a kind and how it would be the most difficult course I had ever played, I can honestly say Wolf Creek lived up to hype and despite 115 degree temps. In fact our group enjoyed the course so much that we had to go around for another 18! My favorite part of the round was not the playability of the course but rather the endless mountain back drops. On just about every hole you’re hitting from an elevated tee to a jaw dropping background. Besides the surroundings, it truly is a great course that involves tremendous skill and strategy to score well. Try not to pay too much attention to your score and just focus on the shot making and I’m sure you will enjoy the day more. There will be disaster holes, no question, but you’ll also have some of the most thrilling golf shots of your life. And when you roll in that birdie or par, of reach a par 5 in two, those will be the memories you take home with you. As you can tell, I love this course. Too bad it’s in Mesquite and not Los Angeles. If you’re staying in Vegas, make sure you play the Wolf course at Las Vegas Paiute Golf Resort, then take a drive out to Mesquite to play this Wolf gem too.
