For the second round of the day, played here. Very interesting course, the Gold. First 9 is up on the side of the mountain, providing spectacular views and great holes. The back 9 is down below and does not have the WOW factor Gold does (IMO). Customer service front desk, top notch. No contact with anyone else? But they could use a marshal. If you decide to play here (and you should) play in the morning? Or after the tourists have left the area? The Gold course is difficult and not for everyone, so slow play is expected. Course conditions were superb. Tees (10); fairways (10); greens (10) and very fast (poor tourists). The rough was high and still wet from recent rains. Not to mention the side hill rough, trees, forced carries, etc. Bunkers (8) had good not excellent sand but playable. But a very excellent course and one you should play if in the area and recommended by all the locals. There is also another course there (Silver) that is flatter and less intimidating. But hey, go for the Gold.
