Played Shadow Valley Friday with a 5:30 tee time, check in was quick and easy paid $35 with a cart, warmed up and went to the first tee. POP was 3.5, even with waiting at a couple tee boxes.

The course is in great shape including the greens which were punched 2 1/2 weeks ago they still rolled true with only a couple still bumpy a little. The tee boxes were in great condition the fairways the same, the sand traps were easy to get out of and were soft. The rough was lush and fair to hit out of with firm strokes. Always a great course to play with amazing views of the Boise foothills. One of my favorite courses to play!

Got right of my flight and headed straight to Shadow Valley after reading Tootalls review. We had a 3:30 tee time and the rate was 44 with cart. Well worth it in my opinion. Check in was easy and the staff was very friendly. Carts are basic gas carts but do the trick. The two nines are a quite different with the front nine having wider fairways with elevation changes and the back nine being flat and tight due to lots of trees.

Course conditions were spectacular this day. Fairways very green and had beautiful mower stripes. The roll out was good enough to add 10-15 yards to most drives. A few areas were wet which is a common them since I've been here. Rough wasn't overly penal but did grab enough to hurt your escapes. Once again I was in no bunkers but my playing partner said they were fine. Greens were very smooth and quick, lots of tricky putts that can be tough to read due to the elevations on the front. The back nine greens were more flat but way smaller.

This is a great course with a beautiful setting in the foothills above Boise the only know is the highway noise as its the main road from Boise to the mountains. I recommend playing here if in the area.

Played Shadow Valley today with a tee time of 10:40. Practice facilities are in great shape with grass driving range, multiple putting and chipping greens with sand trap available for practice. Staff were friendly and helpful got our threesome off at 10:30. A few tee boxes, played from the whites today, had some divot damage but did not affect ability to find a good spot to tee from. Fairways were in very good shape only a few divots but soft and rolled well. Rough was lush but a firm stroke gets you out. The sand traps were soft and deep per my two playing partners attested to. The greens rolled smooth and fast to medium fast. Very few greens are flat with multiple undulations, but the pace was most important. The course had ice chests with cold water bottles available on four or five holes, a nice touch for an 88 degree day!

Overall a great day golfing, it helped that I had my best score for Shadow Valley!
