Conditions are now definitely middle of the summer shape. What was a 9/10 across the board 2 months ago in shoulder season are more in the 7-8/10 range now. Greens nice and smooth but slower than no... Continue »

Downhill par 5 that bends left with a lake that is prominently in play for every shot after your drive. Middle of the fairway off the tee, you want no part of the multitude of fairway bunkers 250 yards from the green with that lake coming up. Approach shots need to stay well left of the lake, the slope of the fairway will move your ball 10-15 yards to the right, toward the lake once it lands and starts rolling. So you aim point on any ball that will not reach the green in the air is the bunkers on your left, not the green. You hit it at the green and it probably rolls into the water. Green sloped from back to front and toward the water... so seemingly straight forward chips and even too frisky of a putt can end up in the lake, because the ball gains speed the closer it gets to the lake. Putts/chips break much more toward the lake that players will believe until they have played this hole many times.

Signature hole. Elevated tee boxes over no man's land to a postage stamp green. It plays shorter than the yardage on the card, i think the Black tees play about 85-90 yards at the most. Left is death. anything that lands on the left 1/3 of the green has a decent chance of finding the ravine, because everything slopes that way more than it appears from the tee. If there is a bail out, it is slightly right, but anything more than a little L/R/Long or Short is gone. Green slopes from back to front and from right to left as you see it from the tee box, so you want to land right of almost any pin placement on this hole.
