Played twilight yesterday. The course is playing great. The greens have recovered well from the aeration. Speed is medium fast. Brookside is looking very lush. There are some tee boxes that are a bit unleveled. Everything else is good. Playing close to a 7.0.

Played 4/14. I've been playing Brookside for 15 years. It was in the best condition I've ever seen the course. The greens had been aerated about a month ago and they were perfect. No signs at all... Continue »

Played 4/14. I've been playing Brookside for 15 years. It was in the best condition I've ever seen the course. The greens had been aerated about a month ago and they were perfect. No signs at all of the aeration. We had to play the back first because of small tournament going off on one. We had no problem coming around finishing on the front nine. If only they could keep the course in this condition..... I would want to play there all the time. It's truly a great "old-style" layout.

Recovering well from the rain. The course is as lush as ever, Rough is thick so beware. Sandtraps are slowly getting refilled. Tee boxes were okay, some unleveling and soogy. Greens, very bumpy and can be slow. The scenery was great and in no time Course 1 will play like a 7.0 course. Great public course.

I have heard many conflicting things about brookside since I have been playing and so decided to finally play the course this weekend. The pluses:
The staff are friendly and easygoing.
The course is in really great shape, especially considering the recent weather we have been having. The Tee Boxes were level, the fairways were lush and green. As mentioned below, the rough was tall enough that I lost a few balls in it even when I knew exactly where I hit it.
The pro shop is well stocked.
The only minus I have is the greens. I found them bumpy and slow. Especially considering how nice the rest of the course was, I was a bit thrown off. In fairness though, there was a sign at the start area explaining that they were in the process of fixing up the greens and so that might explain the condition.
Overall, its a great course.

Brookside, It has been a long time! Over 4 years since I played you last! I am a different golfer and you are still a real test of golf!!!!! The course is very lush and green right now, only small areas of standing water. Greens were good, a bit soft still and maybe a little bumpy? The ruff, WOW deep and difficult to find your ball some times. Brookside is and will always be a little slow because of the 5 somes. Hey is your a single and you want to play 5 somes help you get out quicker!!!! Just remember 2 things golfers, play from the correct tees, your not kidding us and you sure are not scoring from the blue, black tees. Second fix the ball marks on the greens!!!!! Don't be sooooooo lazy!

Played 01/17 and the course was not in the best of shape, fairways are thin in spots, greens are a bit rough and full of unrepaired ball marks, tee boxes full of divots and not many are level and the play was fairly slow. While I know it's winter and we have had a lot of rain I did expect the course to be in much better shape.
