Played Eldo 7/3 and had a great time. This course forces you to keep it straight to avoid the mature trees and hit low flyers under the trees when finding the rough. Most holes really make you think about your next shot as opposed to the "grip it and rip it" mentality. I am a high handicapper and shot my best round here, the difficulty is over exaggerated.

I played El Do all three days of the 4th of July weekend. I have not seen the course in this bad of shape for years. The greens were in really bad shape - uneven cut areas, some dead spots (grass was dying), lots of divots unrepaired. The bunkers were also poor, very little sand in most of them. The fairways were okay, but a lot of unplayable areas. Even the tee boxes were somewhat battered - reminded me of the old Skylinks pitcher's mound syndrome.

It was really sad to see the course in this kinda shape - considering how much work and money was put into it. What was even more alarming is that the Men's City Championships are this weekend (with 2 rounds at El Do), and I'm not sure if this course will ready for the tournament.

If you play El Do, PLEASE repair your divots on the greens.

If only the condition of the course was equal to the challenge! Greens were bumpy and inconsistant, traps had many areas of no sand, and the fairways were thin or soggy or "clumpy". This course is tough enough without having to endure poor conditions and 5 1/2 rounds. Despite it all, I'll be back next year for my annual visit.

The greens are a little bumpy and there are to many unrepaired ball marks, fixed two or three on every green. Course is getting alot of water now due to the upcoming tournaments in July this means the bunkers are soaked, the sand here is the worst compaired to most other courses and now it is by far the worst. But for what is being charged to play I will always come back.

Course in good shape, fairways and greens good, rough a little shorter than ususal. All in all a good day.

Eldo was a good test of golf on thursday. The course was a bit wet in some areas but over all in great shape. This is a shotmakers course, you have to work the ball like no other course. When I want to be humbled I show up and play this monster. Played with a Korean gentleman knew very little english and my Korean is nonexistent. Golf was shared by all today and we had a great day. Just shows you guys out there that even two people that can't communicate can enjoy one anothers company for the day. The game of golf is great.
