Played here for the first time on an early-ish Sunday tee time for our foursome. We ntout on time but pace was a little slow. Not too bad for a muni course, but there were several times we were waiting, and I know we backed up the group behind us because of it.

The layout is nice. Not too much water really comes into play, but the trees can be punishing for severe miss hits. They are redoing the green on #3, so they have a temp up next to it, which is fair as far as temp greens go. The course is in good shape, especially for a city course. The fairways could use a little more water, and the rough is not consistent, but I did not hit off of too many bad lies. The greens are in very good shape. Looks like the regulars take the time to repair the ball marks. Overall, I had a lot of fun (shot well, so that may color things) and it was definitely worth the fee.

Played 7/23 Saturday morning. Easy walking course. Pro Shop staff very professional and organize. All the pin placement were for the tournament ready, tough coners next to the bunker. Overall the course condition was good. Played many times here and for the first time I thought the greenskeeper did not take care the greens. Very bumpy. Fellow golfers, please fix your ball marks on the green and it is OK to wave the next group on PAR 3 Holes.

I played Lakewod Sunday. The fairways were in decent shape and no very hard. The Greens were damp and soft but rolled decently if a little bumpy. I was disapointed at the condition of the holes. Either groups ahead of us just dug their balls out with a putter or the greenskeeper did a sloppy job cutting them. I wish that American golf would put just a bit more effort inot the course, like raking the bumkers in the morning or decently cutting the holes. But overall A fun if straightforward track i would play again.

The great quality of greens at public munis as compared with 20 years ago is truly remarkable. We are very lucky. When I played this course back then it was a joke. The ball would get airborne from the greens being so bumpy. Despite some sand and remnants of holes from aerifying the greens rolled very well. The rest of the course is in good shape.

Booked an internet special threesome this past Sunday (4/17), for a 1:18pm tee time. The clubhouse was friendly and on-time, but that's where the good time ended. Overall, the course is in good shape, and I should know because I had plenty of time to view the surroundings as we waited hole after hole for the fivesome, threesome, and fivesome ahead of us to muddle their way through the course. Without a marshall in sight, at one point we rolled up on a tee box only to find a lone straggler from the fivesome ahead of us taking his second and third tee shots of the hole (even running over to his cart to grab another ball as we stared in disbelief) while the remainder of his party searched for their shots down the fairway....Needless to say, four hours and 12 holes after starting, my buddies and I called it quits. After complaining to the clubhouse manager, we were given three vouchers for nine holes, but until they stop putting high-handicap fivesomes out on the course, this will continue.

Greens are in great shape. Very fast, very smooth, a little bumpiness to that but that is b/c golfers don't fix their divots. Fairways in good shape. No thin lies here. Sand in bunkers a little impacted but completely playable. Course is in great condition. Played Sunday at 8:30 and ran late for start. Finished around 2:30PM so not so slow. Course played long and had fun until the end. Happy to get out. Weather cooperated. Course played very well, I was happy about the greens and the overall condition of the course. My only complaint is if you are going to throw your club, please do not throw it in my general direction. I can understand you are frustrated but it certainly beats working so work out your aggression some other way. Why not break your clubs over your knee? Tell it who is boss, just don't throw a club. Because you will end up using that badly performing club again on another hole. Put it out of its misery and not use it at all. Break it in two and use a different club.

I played Saturday, 4/2. Our tee time was 9:48 and we teed off at about 10:20. The course conditions were pretty good. The tees and fairways were acceptable, but not exceptional. The sand in the bunkers was soft and deep. The greens were the best part. They were lush, without too many ball marks. The greens weren't quite as fast as they have been in the recent past, but that could have been due to the cool weather. I noticed that they had moved the white tees on the longer par threes forward. This seemed to shorten the wait on 5 and 12. They also put the blue tees on the par 5 fourteenth hole way back in the corner by the fence. There is a big eucalyptus tree right in front of that tee box, so right handers had to play a 30 yard slice to hit the fairway. It was kind of fun to try to hit a big slice on purpose (I failed). The pace of play was a little over five hours, but the play moved at a steady pace so it wasn't too painful.

Got lucky and finish the round in less than 4 and 1/2 hours. Starter told me that 3-4 groups cancel around my tee time. The round would of been alot faster but hole 12 par 3 220 yards straight into the wind was backed up. No wave ups today.

Played Sunday, day after the rain - gorgeous weather! Good customer service from Pro Shop. Lucky that we were Four some. But the Pace of play very slow as usual for weekends at muni - 5hrs 40minutes. Saw marshall only once at the 1st Tee; if strict marshall was on the course, we could have asked the marshall to get the group ahead of us to play faster. Other than that enjoyed the golfind day and the company I played with.
